I thought there was a sticky but I can't find anything. I finally picked my F430 up on Friday but the radio just shows a countdown anytime I'm in it. When the countdown finishes it asks for a code but I do not have one. Where can I get this code?

    Hi Josh,

You don't need to remove the radio to get your serial number. Just press and hold the TP button on the radio for about five seconds, you will hear a beep and then BECKER 1 will be displayed, use the right radio to scroll through the screens and it will display TYPE and then the Serial number. Drop the first digit and the 5XXXXX will be the serial number needed for decoding.

The radio removal tools that came with the car don't come in the tool kit, they are in with the books in a plastic sleeve the radio code card comes in, so likely gone as well.

    Good luck!

I got so excited reading this but no luck. The countdown just continued. 2700 seconds is a long time to wait. It would be nice if you could skip ahead.

The code should be stuck somewhere in the owners manual or inside the owner manual case inside the glove compartment.
At least that's where I found mine.

My local dealer, Ferrari of Seattle, requested radio code, key and alarm code info from the owners papers and they enter it into my customer profile the first time I brought my 430 Scuderia in for service after purchasing it used. That way, if I ever misplace anything, they have a back up copy.

    I think that's only 360's not F430's AFAIK

    Josh,

little_daz brings up a good point, if you have a later MY 430 then you may have a Cascade radio that does not have a TP button. See the attached pic, if your radio looks like this then you will need a different procedure to get the serial number out of it.

Does your radio look like this or does it look like the pic I posted above?
