Not necessarily liquidate in the monetary sense. Wouldn't be worth much IMO.

Just trying to decide "Now what?". A car museum that will actually appreciate the donation, put them on display for others to enjoy, with a little " donated by " plaque seems like an appropriate end game for the collection.

The museum in Denver where I saw the diecast collection is Forney Museum of Transportation

Lady at the front desk said the museum director is always interested in talking about stuff that would complement what they already have on display.

I wonder if there's a similar one in Texas?

You can find the F14-T for less on eBay, Mattel isn't taking but 10% off $75. I've seen them sell for $40. It's all about the hunt.

I may have an F40 with some sort of commemorative seal on the doors...maybe Ferrari 50 Years celebration.....red??

Welcome to it, new in box, in the bottom of the closet.

If you want a plain one I will swap the logo one with my display version.
    Dust at no additional charge!!

I went by there this morning & saw these Black LaFerraris, ($89.99) not much else in Ferrari inventory. Pretty much the same items over the past few years & they won't mark them down for closeout.

That's because those are currently fetching $125 on eBay. If they marked them down for closeout / clearance, someone could make some extra pocket change from buying & selling them.

I went back up there & got myself the last black LaFerrari, they were 30% off due to the President's sale going on today.

I also spotted these 458 Italia GT2's still sitting in the case, only one has a green tag for markdown. They sure are proud of that selling price.

I saw that, this year was the first time I didn't buy anything but a program. Not even a hat or a shirt, just couldn't justify it.

Well it was fun while it lasted, I was told by another FChatter that our local Mattel Toy Store will be closing to the public in June. There are few Ferrari items remaining but not much.

I first discovered the store back in 2000 when I was a corporate partner at Sprint PCS, shopped for my nieces & nephew, stocked up for toy runs, & fueled my obsession with almost all things Ferrari. I'm going to miss this place, it was fun buying items at 70% off then flipping them on eBay for a tidy profit. Oh well good things never last.
