didn't Schumacher also agree and took blame? I think he said he simply misjudged the early braking point of Senna and was in his head already entering turn 3. He did never attempt to overtake at turn and was taken by surprise. That's what I remember.

We should combine the 27 Max bashing threads into one. :)

There will be a 28th pretty soon after the next race. :)

I could be wrong, but I believe that the FIA removed the two move rule. They created a “Verstappen rule” a few years ago, but Charlie announced last year (2017) that it would no longer be enforced because teams were complaining about too many steward referrals. Instead it would be a case-by-case basis. I can’t find anything in the 2018 regulations that specify only one move.

Same thing here, I looked through the driving regulations and didn't see anything about it, so case-by-case it is.

If that's the case, than the FIA is complicit in this ongoing disaster-in-waiting.

They would be good to emulate IndyCar's one move rule. One move means ONE MOVE. It does not mean move to block and then return to the ideal line.

The funny thing is, Helmut Marko has this reputation as a tough, no BS kind of guy. Yet they keep enabling Max . . . .

Tough because of the power he has within the organization...but hardly a no BS kind of guy. He spills and spews as much BS as Bernie.

This then would be a good reason why Vettel shouldn't be on a pedastal either (Baku 2017 run on Hamilton?)

No doubt. Senna isn't the only offender, for sure.

No but Senna was the first of the modern era to cross the line--Schumacher and others followed.

Exactly....What undermines your authority on the pit wall more?
    a) don´t give out team orders and the drivers crash
    b) giving out team orders, the drivers ignore them and they still crash
Vettel did not care about what Horner said (Multi21) and neither Nico nore Lewis did what Toto said...so why would anybody expect Daniel or Max doing better?

Max clearly doesn't fear the consequences of his aggressive tactics. He doesn't fear retribution by his team or by the FIA, and he doesn't fear injury to himself or to others. The only negative consequences of his actions are DNFs. As long as this is the case he will continue to drive the same way.

The fear of dying or getting hurt badly has been almost completely taken out of modern racing as the cars are incredibly safe nowadays . Max has never been injured and has no concept of what a serious injury he could cause or endure because of his actions . He isn’t the only one but at the present he is in the highlight because of a few bonehead moves . Until someone dies again on track , not that I wish that on anyone , not much will change with the way the up and coming drivers behave

They didn't remove the two move rule. It's part of the Intentional drivers licence rules which is separate to the Sporting and Regulations rules.

So in the Max/Ricci incident ,looks like Max technically did leave 1 car width on the left side, however can you call that second move left "towards the racing line"?
