IIRC, Dennis said he could have bought that car back for low 20's. truthfully, I would have bought it. Brian - worst cars are selling salvage for high 30's which is stupid.

Problem with iaai they dont show all the damage so some people look at the fire damage as probably a easy fix dont look to bad from the pics.

Man if salvage 355s are going into the 30s I don’t know how that they could make a penny off them. I dismantled one about 4 years ago and I didn’t pay near that for it. I guess I might have to stick to 360s, I’ve done 7 or 8 of them and I’d say my average price for running but not drivable 360 has been $20-22k. You can still make a bit of cash in that range, but 355s in the $30k + range sounds like a whole lot of work for no gains.

    It says clear Michigan title.

That means to me as a buyer its not salvage.

Not everything gets a salvage title. Some stuff is sold with clear titles.

Lol, it’s not what I want it’s what the buyers want. I wouldn’t want peanut butter colored interior any more than I’d want red in my personal car. I think interiors should only be made in black. But I’m only buying to sell and I can tell you red don’t sell. Tan is what most of the US cars came with so when buying one to part out tan would be a plus since I know it will sell.

State laws vary. Could be because there is no mechanical damage. But damage estimate is $53k. Based on the way I've seen insurances estimates that could include a lot of things that don't need to be replaced. They try to estimate their max exposure so as not to start a repair then then find out it would have cost them less to total the car.
