A seasoned F1 driver shouldn't panic. Grosjean seems to have an emotional vulnerability that is his undoing.

Grosjean has put his best efforts to beat Stroll at this game - I guess it should have required some commitment to achieve that...

I think lettuce is getting most the votes because of his fresh screw up yesterday and it's still in the forefront of people's minds. I think Stroll typically would get great majority of all these votes.

Agree. Guess Monaco will move a bunch of votes back to where they belong. Grosjean has won the GP2 champ. twice. Hartley was on the Red Bull young programme and has done very well in LMP1 and Ericsson is not fast but doesn’t make too many mistakes and he’s never too far from his much higher rated teammates. Pretty sure the two worst drivers belong to Williams.

For me it's several reasons for 2018: 1.) He's seasoned already 2.) He has no points 3.) Baku-->now, that was just plain idiotic 4.) Spain-->just lit the rears and created his own superficial fog bank making it more dangerous for others; stupid.

The scary thing about grosjean is he thinks he joined Haas to improve his chances of getting into a ferrari, a feat he will never achieve unless he buys one from corse clienti that they don’t want preserved for the future!

Grosjean should just line up on the grid with the car pointed directly at the track wall,... Light's out. Bang.

Might save him the embarrassment of floundering around for a couple laps whining about this and that before he crashes.

As far as I remember, Grojean got into F1 to substitute Nelson Piquet Junior.

Anyway, to me Ericsson is the worst, closely followed by Stroll, Grojean, and Sirotkin.

This season Grosjean is the worst, I would have gone Stroll but Grosjean has a better car & engine with better support.

Magnesson seems to be doing just fine with the same car. Other than the first race Wheel nut issues Grojean has been a mess, Hit the wall during a safety car (Baku) and then BLAMES Ericsson for hitting him? Come on!

Then in Spain you lose the back end then go full power to spin the car and smoke the track. That was stupid and endangering of his fellow drivers.

He needs to start finishing some races and scoring some points, then we can revisit this middle and end of season.

    https://www.f1-fansite.com/f1-news/boss-defends-grosjean-amid-new-career-crisis/
May 15 - Gunther Steiner has defended under-fire Haas driver Romain Grosjean.

The Frenchman is having a bad start to 2018, and is yet to score a single point compared to his on-form teammate Kevin Magnussen's 19.

Not just that, Grosjean crashed out during the safety car in Baku, and in Barcelonawas given a grid penalty for Monaco for the first corner crash.

Nico Hulkenberg, taken out in the crash, was livid.

"He spun eight times this weekend and is completely unpredictable," said the German. "Maybe he should think about changing sports."

It is not the first time Grosjean's F1 career has been in crisis, after being banned for a race in 2012 due to a spate of crashes.

But Haas boss Steiner defended his driver.

"For me it was a normal first lap incident," he said.

"Yes, the consequences were unpleasant, but you only have a few milliseconds to decide -- and that's what he decided.

"Right now Romain's reputation suffers and he's an easy target for criticism, but I think the decision of the stewards was a slap in the face."

Steiner said he is therefore standing behind Haas' most experienced and highest paid driver.

"I went to talk to him immediately, because I could imagine how he felt," he told Ekstra Bladet newpsaper.

"If I fail him, it's finished. So we'll help him," Steiner added.

"I told him I do not blame you. You tried to get the best possible start and it did not work. Move on. Focus on Monte Carlo and do your best there.

"Right now Romain is down, but he responds in the right way. Of course, nine races without points is not good, but he's just got to get on the horse again."

and again and again and again LOL

How anyone can rate Gro worse than Stroll is beyond me. One is a useless no hoper who is just a roadblock and liability. The other is Stroll.

Grosjean is probably a better driver than any of us...but that isn't saying much. He has been given more than enough opportunities to shine, to rise up and be his best, but he has not, and his best has proven not good enough. Haas needs to bite the bullet and get a new driver in the seat asap. Kubica would be a good (and inexpensive) choice...a more mature driver who would give 110%, and also have the experience to give the engineers feedback. This would also give Magnuson a co-driver he could work with.

lets see Ro Gro managed to put in 129 laps today in testing yet he could not make it 129 yards past the first turn on Sunday....

Perhaps he should switch from F1 to F No One where he is the only one on the track. :D
