I do not agree with that Romano, yes, Robbie started it in 2010 ! Korrekt !

And we had that rediculous raise last five years ... but NOW, the prices are sinking again ...

People want only a mint one for K€ 110 in Europe or do not want to buy a non-mint TR at all ... or get it for (almost :) ) free ...

Prices TR are now sometimes at K€70 ... over here ...

I blame the sinking of Testarossa prices on the scaremongering from every single impending Differential failure and why they will apparently never be high in prices because of so many built as well etc etc.... Great news for buyers like me, soon getting my fully sorted 87 Testarossa at a bargain price :) A dream come true and having an iconic car in my collection.

Prices went up a lot from 2010 to 2016, they have gone down a bit since then, nothing controversial

Here’s how much a quite high mile (61000 km) good but not fantastic condition, Testarossa actually sold for here in Europe this week.

    http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24953/lot/126/

81000 euros, higher than 2010-2015, lower probably than 2016 or 2017.

Sinking is relative, as Einstein said.

Much as I respect and admire Mel, there is a word in his reply to Romano that suggests a certain emotion in his talking down of Testarossa prices: the word ‘ridiculous’. Why would a former owner (who maybe sold before the boom, I don’t know) call high prices ridiculous? And what does that make a Daytona, 275, or 250? Ten to fifty times more ridiculous...or just, cars selling for what people will pay for them?

Well Darius, it's only my view .... I have the same with paintings .... jewelry, art etc ... the balance seems lost imho ... (Dino's )

There will always be people who are willing to buy something .... you are right in that ...

You mentionned that Bonham car, for now K€80 ... Would that car not have fetched K€120 two years ago ?

Lots of Testarossa's may go back to K€50-60 in a couple of years ... but I may be wrong of course.

I thought that major service seemed inexpensive also. $5,500?? Is that possible? Did they only do part of it?

Highly possible; a major cost 6-8k depending on shop and what is addressed. Assuming, belts, fluid etc it’s about right.

All depends what was done. Throw a new clutch and release bearing in the mix, coolant hoses, fuel return lines, cleaning, painting valve covers..bang, 14k.

$4,999 for Belt Service at Cauley Ferrari in Michigan. No water pump though. That would add at least $1,500.

The cam covers did come off.

They posted the bill. Unusually legible, here it is.

Someone in the comments mentioned that the shop has very low overhead and looks like it is located in a junkyard.

Newman...Newman....when the doors go up...the panties go down.

The only thing you have to compensate for in a Lamborghini is how to fit two strippers in the front seats...without all the glitter coming off.

But, you do have a great bb512....I always enjoyed seeing it on Magnum PI. ;) lol
