    I’ve been on the crane cam once at top fuel and I would have been 50 feet away,the first time they set off I let go of the crane out of physical shock,you couldn’t pay me enough to be on the start line camera the people inside the cars are tough,just ridiculously brave men and women hats off

    Drag racing is very addictive - harder than it looks but great fun. Tears your wallet to bits...

    Their was a cheap way though. Years ago Avis rented out 351 XA Fairlanes with the FMX auto. Same driveline as a GTHO (must have been leftover XY engines) and they would run a 14 second quarter, which in the day was usually enough to get you a trophy for a street car. $80 to rent the car, return it with somewhat 2nd hand rear tyres... :)
