    Green was a very popular interior color on the MG T-Series cars of the 1940/1950s. Harmonizes nicely with the wood dash.

    This was done by Enzo to 'upset' the lady buyer who had the audacity to want a car Enzo targeted for the racing stable, to use as her poser car. Ended up being stunning really!

    He figured it was ghastly with the mustard yellow car.

    Edit: here is a link to a great book that tells the story of this beautuful yellow Ferrari -
    I've had this book for decades and recommend it, nice photography and stories. The entire 'survivor series' is good, many other marques covered well.

    Actually, wood dash boards were aftermarket items.

    Yes... I've never seen a TC, TD with a wood dash. TF, not sure....

    Yes, you are indeed (partially) correct. You people with your "modern" MGs. :)

    Everything for sale today for most any series MG is either Walnut veneer or plywood. What happened is that about half way during TC production, the factory switched from Walnut veneer to Rexine, a type of vinyl cloth.

    Another "option" was grill slats color coordinated to match the interior or exterior color. Most one sees today is a DIY project.

    Here are some illustrations of the two dash treatments and an example of the color coordinated grill slats:

    Regarding the DeTomaso Mangusta, I remember a quote from Road & Track that said there were other cars that they would rather drive, but there was no other car that they would rather be seen driving!

    Not difficult on 328s...there were only four factory shades of "blu" available;
    -"Azzuro", which is very light;
    - "Chiaro" which means light but is actually medium to dark;
    - "Sera", which is dark; by the way, "sera" means the period of the day at the end of evening/beginning of night in Italian (dinner time, more or less)
    - and the very rare "Blu Medio Met", which cannot be confused with another "Blu", as it has a strong grey hue...and is very, very rare indeed on 328s: probably about 25 cars, not more.

    Depending on the lighting, "Blu Chiaro" and "Blu Sera" might be confused one for the other on pictures, althought not if you put a "Blu Chiaro" car alongside a "Blu Sera" one.

    You drool over the Alfa-Romeo "33 Stradale" not only at concours...those with a slight knowledge of Italian cinema know that it can be seen, and heard, in her period, albeit briefly, in the movie “Un bellissimo Novembre”

    Back in the 80s, my dad had a Roman Red and Ermine White '61 with a red interior. I took the car to my Senior Prom in '86. Beautiful automobiles, though the handle something awful. LOL

    That’s why I upgraded to coil overs front and rear, disc brakes, and a power rack and pinion steering!
