Normally i have see the Lucas Fan Motors (bread box type) used on most of the 330 cars.

My customer sent his car to me in pieces and it has round MM motors - like on a 365 or daytona.

IT is always possible that the factory could have used these - however has anyone see the round MM
rad fan motors on a GTC as orig installations?

Here are the pics of what i have

The blades i have are correct for the GTC, but not sure of the fan motors.

I ran this by Clete and he has not seen this either - so maybe asking around i can get
some clarification if anyone else has seen this on orig cars. This is a later car - serial 10061

I believe these were installed as a replacement/upgrade for the original Lucas motors. I used to see cars at times with one of each and all with the correct original blades used. I am fairly certain that Lucas motors are correct well past SN 10061.

GTC #11333 has Lucas fan motors as well. This was a July 1968 delivery.

I believe E-Types have the exact same motors just with different fan blades.

E Type, same motor but runs in the wrong direction, easily remedied by unsoldering and switching wires inside the housing. Strangely, the Jag housing has a little arrow on the end of the body that would indicate the direction but it runs the other way, so beware that the indicator arrow may be wrong.

Jumprun is correct. I have lost count of all the 275's and 330's I have found over the years with the fans running the wrong direction, Have cured a lot of overheating that way.

So to be correct - so i don't get this wrong....

Ferrari Fans push air thru the radiator toward the motor - Jags pull air coming thru the radiator from the motor

    Correcto??

I think you are right Ed
that is why I changed the fans from my BB from the front ( blowing ) to the rear sucking and never have problems anymore with overheating. sure I took modern fans

Ed, in a Jag E-Type the electric fan/motor is behind the radiator but in the 60's Ferrari's it is (they are) in front of the radiator, so the motors cannot be interchangeable without changing polarity. Doing this in a DC motor is just as easy as swapping the terminals.

New correct Lucas motors are availible. You can get either the push style for Ferrari or pull style for Jaguar.
