    I am thinking of selling my 97 manual 355 spider and my 99 manual 360 for a 458 .
The 355 has just had the whole engine rebuilt with new everything and is in perfect condition with a tubi . I also had the body repainted to like new condition and the top works perfectly .
The 360 is well taken care of and has been repainted recently along with all the service .
The 355 is red and the 360 is tfd blue .

Both cars have no accidents and have 30k miles on them both .

I cant drive two cars at once and could use some extra garage space so this is why I am thinking of doing this plus my wife wont go near a manual trans car . I love driving both of these cars but Iam getting older so some creature comforts would be nice .

So, what do you guys think ? should I sell them ? keep them and let them go up in value and the 458 go down . or trade them both for a 458 .

Full resprays on both cars? 355 spiders don't typically command the value that GTB or GTS do.

I love my 355 GTS and would love a 458 but as an addition, not a replacement.

In your situation, I'd say go for it :)

there was always little things wrong with the paint that pissed me off so I had them both redone . the 355 has not even had its first wash yet as I dont want to get any scratches the paint since its so nice .

I am getting a bit bored of cars too so i figure a 458 would keep me occupied for bit until I get rid of it and buy another flamethrower .

Personally, I would do the trade,... but add a little $$$ and go for a 458 spider.

I am not a big fan of convertibles . found two dealers who want to trade strait up , both have 2012 458s . I am debating trading strait up or selling the cars on my own as I would make a bit more doing it this way .

Remember, if you trade, you are only responsible for sales tax on any out of pocket cash.

If you can find one for sale they go between 20 and 50k . I paid 20k for my m9 . there is only 3 known in private hands and 2 of them are working . they are pretty safe but like anything there is always risks . if tank ruptured or a hose broke while you were firing it you would be dead . since they do not use an open flame for ignition like you see in the movies there is no chance of a fire unless you have a match lit to ignite it .

Is that a class 3 or Curio and Relic item ?
Got a spare you'd like to sell or trade for a WW2 Thompson ? PM me.
PS sell the 360 manual and get a 458 then you have the best of both worlds.

But wouldn't you avoid sales tax by trading them in straight up rather than selling the cars and using funds to purchase the 458? Those savings may be enough to negate the savings selling it privately depending on what they are giving you. I know sales tax and trade in rules varies by state...

You don't think you'll miss the manual transmissions? As great as the 458 is, I wouldn't want to give up my 360 stick for one. I'd sell my 308 and add cash for a paddle shift Ferrari, but I would never be without a stick.
