The rear 4 bags are pretty good. The one smaller bag on the left is not a great choice for that shaped space. It will fit but needs a bit of “stuffing” it in there.

All really well done and definitely gets you ready for a road trip.

The luggage cover can also be quickly removed and left in the garage for additional space and extra stacking.

My car had 8 bars in the grill. Newer cars (from 2011+ I think) have 6 bars. The db9 has 5 bars for a reference. The gt4 and n24 race cars have 4...

So I thought it looked a bit too packed in there.

I removed 4 of the bars evenly spaced. Here is what came off.

Thanks to Richard at RedPants and his YouTube videos on how these can be adjusted.

The front grill bars are attached to vertical posts in the front with these grooves.

They just move out of the slots with enough force and back and forth.

Stay tuned for the overall photo of the car’s new smile...

    Great drive out this afternoon.

Here is a photo of the new grill layout with the bars removed. I think it looks great. Not too much bling but still elegant and showing purpose. Heritage badge centered in the lower grill.

I couldn't have hoped for a better stance. There is a reason the top car models within a range always end up "dropping" on their tighter suspensions as the cars get more exclusive and add special editions. Look at the Porsche 911 base model vs the GTS vs the GT3... you get the idea. The manufacturers always set up the cars with a very high gap initially. Then they are able to lower the car as a later feature (that they charge MORE for) and claim its a better setup - and why you should be upgrading... :D

So I just cut to the chase.

Amazing setup. Not too low. Not too high. You'll notice the rim edges aren't jacked into the fender lips like some "ricers"... A very affordable upgrade for the cars.

The lightweight, forged, 5-spoke alloy wheels included with the sports pack setup are some of the best looking wheels Aston has out there. To me, they are to the Vantage like the oem wheels on the Ferrari F355.

Green badge. They are also available in red and black depending on the model, along with gold overall wings, carbon, or flag colors based on racing locations. Cool variety.

A very low angle at a stop on the drive. The paint on the car is really fantastic. You can see it here reflecting all of the surface debris and rocks in this parking area along with the painted stripes. So even though the side of the car appears a bit messy... that's exactly what the surface looked like. I'll have to choose my surroundings carefully so the car also looks its best when I am shooting where we travel to.

The rear with those clear tail lights. This is one clean looking car...

It was a little late in the day in sunny Arizona so things might be looking a little on the warmer tungsten silver side of life...

The metallic paint color can shift a bit in different lighting which is always a welcome thing.

View of the front grill slots with those bars removed. I may look into filling in the gaps... Not sure yet. I guess you could plastic print new vertical supports without the gaps. They are only really noticeable when you are up close. So I'm not sure it is worth the time or hassle.

Another great thread Rob; keep it coming!

    Love the Aston.

I test drove one before getting the Fcar. I spent about a year waiting for the right one to come along but got bored so bought the Ferrari :) I came within a couple of days of getting one. I put a holding deposit on a Vantage on a Wednesday and was going up on the Saturday to finalise the deal, only to get a call Friday from the dealer; the owner wasn't part exing it anymore and wanted to keep it, along with the DB11 he has getting! Cant blame him, but damn...! It was a 4.7 convertible, manual in Onyx Black (not my first choice in colour), but had the N400 skirts, clear rear brake lights, with a truffle interior with contrasting black stitching and looked stunning.

One will certainly grace my garage at some stage as they are very beautiful. The "old" Vantage, DB9 and Rapide are such good value at the moment.

I was also lucky enough to be invited to the unveiling of the DB11 at our local dealer and talk by Marek Reichman. Talk about somebody who is completely passionate about what he does; its no wonder the cars look like they do.

Took the car to the Aston dealership today to program the daylight running lights.

Everything went fine. One hour of labor later we had daylight running lights...

That car sold the next couple of days after my post. It was at Long Island Sportscars (Aston Dealer).
