No question it will never be a collector. I agree it is a great evolution from the California. I think it solves all the downsides of the Cali-T. So much so, in my mind, that we are gonna trade in ours when we had not planned to. Still an expensive car, however, not sure they could sell in Camaro numbers! LOL!! Being facetious, but you get my point. Sergio wants profits, and making more cars is his goal. If they build 5000 per year, they will still have a waiting list. And that's why I'm waiting for 2020 or 2021. Because of the glut that's coming, and the fact that they're daily drivers which will collect miles like a sofa collects change, the depreciation on these cars is going to be painful...
I don't think you are going to see Portofinos flood the US market. I think Ferrari is planning to keep its established markets at about the same size or maybe with some gentle growth. I think you will see them pushing for drastically more sales in newer markets. Of course anyone is capable to make a mistake, but I have observed the people running Ferrari are very smart. They won't make this mistake. If you want a PF, get one.
Brother, I hope you're right. I really do. Obviously, I think this is one of the best cars Ferrari have produced in years. They seem to have checked every box, and from the early reviews nearly everyone who's gotten their hands on this car has loved it. Even James May, an he's more finicky than Morris the Cat. That's why, regardless of supply, I expect demand to be high. Expect this car to see screen time too. Movies, TV, rap videos, etc....

What color is this? Mark me down for a low mileage used one in 6-7 years. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app

Thanks Tom. It’s beautiful. It’d be a change from the Nero for sure. I just landed at DFW for a wedding in McKinney tonight. Should have had you pick me up in that sweet ride of yours! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Lol. I exercised the Cali this morning! With our temps, I've taken to hitting the roads at around 7 am for a morning spin before work. Safe travels. DFW was a mess last night due to the storms...T
This is a great commercial for how I feel about the Italianos: If you want fast, buy a Huracan. If you want sexy, get the Portofino...
I don't know if it's the color or the lighting, but this is a pretty surreal look. Another great show of that amazing sheet metal...
Yellow turned way down... see it in the shields. Reminds me of the old beautiful Grigio Nuvolari from Maserati... SV
