    I find that in the summer, I need to keep the rubber straps on and only swap to leather from Oct to April. Of course I live in Phoenix but am on the road all summer where it gets warm in most places. Hate to quickly wear out a leather strap.

    I will need to order a couple of rubber straps for the JLC as well...

    I do, but takes forever to order and receive, plus more $$. IMO the Rubber B is an excellent alternative, no affiliations with Rubber B, just happy with their product.
