Love my '09 GT S but still looking to add a 2 seat Spyder to the fold. '05 Anniv Spyder (just like the look) vs '06 ? Were all '06's GranSports? Much difference? THX

There might be non-GranSport 2006 Spyders out there, but it seems unlikely that they were sold in the US. That being said, only 472 GranSport Spyders were produced, but even fewer of the '05 Anniversary Spyders were built at just 181. The standard GranSports received a lot of small improvements that improved the car a lot. The 90th Anniversary Spyder appears to have a lot of the same external upgrades as the GranSport, but also has a carbon fiber tonneau cover not on the GranSport. Oddly it doesn't sound like it has the 400 hp GranSport spec motor but instead has the 390 hp version.

Thanks for the info. Are the transmissions the same? (LOVE the '09 S's F1)

The transmissions on the 05 and 06 Spyders are both CC style, unless you get a 05 6 speed GT Spyder version. These are all really manual transmissions with a pump doing clutch engagements and a paddle shift on the steering wheel. Your 2009 F1 is a full auto box.

By the way, the GranSport spec motor is really only a different lest restrictive center exhaust, wich adds 10 hp. It also sounds a lot better because of the new exhaust. Tubi and Larini exhausts sounds even better than the factory GranSport when installed on any 4200.
