What surprises me is the people who seem to not appreciate an everyday Ferrari (like the Portofino is). All these cars are made for different reasons. The Portofino is a GT and an everyday daily driver if you want without compromise.

Some people just have a problem understanding some people want that. Why? I dunno. Porsche sure doesn't get this grief.

Yeah I don’t get it either. And I noticed that it can go both ways now. We have really enjoyed our Cali-T. It is a fantastic car and far from ugly. Yet on the boards, people talked so much about how feminine the car looks. So ridiculous. I never saw it. We are anxious to get our allocation to order the Port because it just solves the things I don’t love about the T. I think it might just be the perfect evolution of the California.

The 812 is controversial. To me, the TDF fixed the things I didn’t like on the F12. Probably something following the 812 will solve some things that won’t be my favorite. But I don’t really care because that V12 is just perfection to me.

The V12 in a hard top convertible- if that happened I might just live in it!!

For reasons I won't claim to understand, Ferrari has always made the GT12 convertibles heavily exclusive. 122 Daytona Spyders, 448 550 Barchettas, and 50 SA Apertas. The purpose of this is beyond my understanding, maybe they just wanted to maintain the tradition that began with the Daytona. There is no doubt in my mind that if the Portofino was offered with same engine options as the GTC4Lusso, the majority of cars sold would be V12s.

^ totally agree. They lose so much money in the V12 category not making convertibles for anyone who wants one.

Just be patient, I think the 812 SF Spider/Aperta is not too far away………

Is it known if it'll be a limited edition like the SA Aperta, 575 Super America, 550 Barchetta?

They made 10 F60 Americas. So yeah, expect 6 or so 812 Super Duper Nationals, and expect them to cost upwards of the F60's $2.5 million price tag.

Even if you wanted to actually drive those cars on a regular basis (gawd forbid daily), or even a TDF, you couldn't. The insurance alone would be retarded.

And this is my point. Ferrari is basically trying to create something super exclusive with the 12 cylinder convertible, which they don't want "watered down". But. They're building a crossover SUV as we speak. So if you're going to water the entire brand down by making trucks with Ferrari badges on them, why not give the Portofino a 12 cylinder option and make the whole world rejoice...

There was also the 575 Superamerica and there were "80" 599 SA Apertas.

Man, even in Beverly Hills this thing really stands out in traffic. This is no low key exotic, it's going to get a lot of stares...

Cruising by in Beverly Hills traffic it could almost be mistaken for one of the V12 coupes. Euro spec so it must be one of the demo cars

Any guesses on whether that is Bianco Avus or one of the other whites? Whatever the color, really looks nice in that video. Great post, SS...T

I talked about this on a previous page. They really outdid themselves with the styling on this one.

How can you tell it's a Euro?

It’s not a US version. No side markers. It’s on of the several test cars that is going from dealer to dealer.

As much as I did not like the Rosso Porto w/ the black roof, it seems to work here, at least if this F12 is any indication. It's too bad you can only visualize the black roof in "night time mode" on the configurator...T

The low rear angles of this car are just spectacular. I just looks so wide and planted compared to the Cali.
