Although it looks more shiny on the picture, what could come from a good detailing with ceramic coating, I guess its Blu Elettrico!

That seems very plausible - your confidence speaks volumes given you seem to be very well informed.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I hope it's a mid-engined v12. And if it's not (and if Ferrari do read these posts) then please, please, please make a mid engined v12 for those of us that will never qualify for a LAF.

Thanks! Also, is that rear wider than 488 or just my impression?

Sure is, good pickup. There is a thread on 488 replacement which has some other pics - this one clearly shows it's wider... hmmm this makes me think it might be a V12!

The quad exhausts do point towards a V12.

It is most likely a Pilota mule

Why should the Pilota require a particular mule?

    :D Never mind.
Pista mule might be possible. However I still think the car in the picture looks substantially wider and lower than a 488 GTB AND Pista. + Quad exhausts.

Why would a Pista mule have quad exhausts though?

Fully agree, Pista’s aero and mechanical
changes are well within the envelope of the 488. This car is likely a mule for something else. Could even be testing a new V12 engine but not for a mid-engine. If you look back at the pics of Ferrari’s mules you’ll see there’s often no correlation between the donor car and the ultimate objective.
