Thank for that Mark! Selleck is a classy guy. He’s a gun enthusiast, hunter, and one of the few in Hollywood that isn’t a liberal

Call me crazy but I just don't see Selleck spitting out GTS, GTSi and QV.

    Something about that comment...

Even if, at one time, he didn't know or care about the cars used in the series, I suspect he knows more about the specifics now than he did at the time. He probably has gotten so many questions about the series that he ended up learning things about it that he didn't know (or care) about it in, say 1985. Paul probably "knows" far more about the Beatles breakup now than he did in 1970...;)

Yeah I thought the same thing but as mike996 said above, he's probably learned a few things through the years simply by being asked all the time. As I recall, Selleck was/is a car guy (had an affinity for the 928), so it's not that far of a stretch to know what kind of 308 he was driving. He did spend a lot of time getting into and out of them over eight years.

I think that he owned a WO Bentley in the 1990’s, not a Blower but a Speed 6 or something similar.

He can't possibly be a gun enthusiast if he's living in CA...there are only 2 models left you can buy!

If you have to start these cars as part of your job you definitely know the difference between a carbed car and an i.

So if Tom Selleck did a short interview on Ferrari.com, talking about the various 308 GTS' he used to drive, would you classify that as simply being an advertisement for Ferrari?

Yes the interview is on a watch/time piece site, but where is the advertisement? - I can't see anyone selling anything off that interview, not even the Rolex "Pepsi " mentioned in the interview, and I'm pretty sure they don't need advertising those watches anyway.

Whilst there are adverts on that site, the same could be said of Ferrarichat, with it's various sponsors advertising their services/goods.

It was an interesting quick read. I seriously doubt Rolex paid for that interview which would make it an ad. Yeah it talks about Rolex on a watch website. Was still interesting.
