Does anyone know the colour code for the silver colour on the DRS flaps as I need to do,a bit of touch up on one of them. Regards Michael
I don't know the answer. However, with regard to Ferrari "silver" colors in general (such as rims, etc.) I've had pretty good luck using some of the Toyota silver colors offered by Dupli-color. I remember with my 355, it had silver rims and I ended up finding a silver color off the rack (at Autozone I think), which was about as perfect a match as you could get. If you're interested, I can see if I still have some of those bottles of silver handy and perhaps photograph the colors or provide you with the specific color codes. Ray
Hi Ray Yes if you do can send me a picture of the can or the colour code that will be an excellent start point Regards Michael
Hi Mel The 488 has in the rear diffuser 3x flaps that lower at speed that Ferrari call DRS flaps to mimick the F1 terminology Regards Michael
Here's what I found in the box of Ferrari stuff. I'm not sure where I used this, but I am thinking maybe on the 360 wheels perhaps? On the 355, I wanna say it was a Toyota silver paint that worked best. I'll have to check my records and see if I can turn anything up. Anyway, this color was in the box, so I'm guessing it was either used for wheels on the 360 or 355 at some point. Ray Image Unavailable, Please Login
From Motor Trend's website: Drive the Ferrari 488 GTB fast on the freeway and you’ll notice a little DRS logo appear on the dash. That stands for drag reduction system, and signals that flaps at the rear diffuser have lowered to change the airflow around the rear of the car and make it slip more cleanly through the air.
I don't know the answer to that question. The Owner's Manual does not specify the deployment speed. Image Unavailable, Please Login
