What day will the all 250GTO race take place at Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion

    I am presuming it is Saturday because a lot of folks and/or GTOs might be going to Pebble Beach on Sunday.
    But what time Saturday? Will there be a (slow speed) parade lap first featuring GTOs?
    And will they be practicing the weekend before, called the Pre-Reunion? Is there a charge for spectator entrance during the Pre-Reunion weekend?
    I heard that no less than 19 250GTOs were entered, more than half of the total production.

    For real? That would be awesome to see that many 250 GTOs.

    I think it is pretty safe to say the big race would be Saturday, if there is a big race, because that's the main day. For me, a bigger deal would be just walking the paddock to look under the hoods while the cars are there.​

    However, having said that all, other than Jon Shirley's 250 GTO, which he regularly races there, I can't imagine that that many 250 GTO owners would actually be willing/capable of racing the darn things. It would be a major, major event if it happens. If they are indeed showing up at Laguna Seca, I would think its more likely just for a few Saturday parade laps which would be cool nonetheless.

    Last year's turn-out of Ferrari's was remarkably low, although watching the two Testa Rossas run (a 250 and a 500) was pretty special.

    I forgot where I heard the figure of 19 entered, but if they are, I hope Nick Mason brings over his GTO from the UK--he drives his hard! Rob Walton also races his, though I'd like to see his Cobra Daytona coupe take on all the GTOs. Ralph Lauren should put his car in--good for "branding"!
    I want to know what day they are all practicing--might be easier to get pictures before Saturday. By the way don't drive your Ferrari to the track--they might mskr you park on a hill, in 6 inches of dirt.

    They would be in group b I think (gt cars over 2500cc, '63-'66)
    so they will be on the track twice on Sunday, it seems.....

    Well, we have an information conflict. Are you sure thats a 2018 list? I ask because a track official told me they has 19 GTOs entered There's quite a difference between 0 and 19! I predict even if as you say none is entered, once word spreads that one has entered, then other owners will want to show their car is just as good and enter and the rush will be on..
