812 order status on My Ferrari.com

I think that’s a bit odd.
I was told the same re the Homologation last year, but I believe it was sorted out the end of last year, HRO have had their demo registered since January which would not have been possible if it had not been homologated.

I received the same news that stage 60 and delivery expected late May in USA.

Have been told today by my UK dealer that first batch of customer cars are now not expected until the autumn. Let's hope they don't deliver it just in time to put it away for the winter. Having driven one last week, it was enough to turn me into an addict in need of the next fix.

 

That is consistent with the story I was given some months ago that Factory will gear up for rhd production after the August break.

 

May be more UK market than RHD. Mine has just left the factory, and I know of a few other 812s already here.

 

Agree with that assuming you mean Australia and not Scotland !
I think UK has only received one customer car but I know quite a few have been delivered to Australia.

What are imminent UK owners being told on timing for delivery ?
Presumably cars are being finished before August break.

 

My dealer has not had an order call from Ferrari for 3 months which is most annoying as my car is the next one to be loaded.
All they can say it will be this year, Andrew!
So I may get it just before Christmas, which is not much help as I was going to display it at various Ferrari Owners club events this year had it arrived in time.

 

Annoying to say the least ! I genuinely don't understand the UK delays on this car.
I always wanted mine early 2019 in time for Mille Miglia tribute.
Still being told this will happen but I am less confident now.

 

Last year I was advised I would have a Sept/ Oct delivery but have now been told there is a 3 month delay on this due to a back log having built up. Uk seems to be way down the pecking order

 

Once you have an allocation slot, what is the expected amount of time for delivery in the US now? I have an order with my dealer....just waiting now for the factory allocation slot

I understand all the differences between the 2 brands but Aston Martin DBS Superleggera was unveiled on Tuesday.
Fully functional configurator up and running on website to coincide with unveil.
If I order one in UK today I get it before Christmas 2018.
Contrast with process for getting an 812.
Not going the Aston route (which explains why it won't change !) but it would be nice if Ferrari process was a little more like that !!!

That explains it.Ferrari must have launched a charm offensive for 812 in UK !!

 

The explanation is that Aston begs for customers, while Ferrari turns them down.
