    Hi all,

I'm about to have a bit of remedial paint done on my UK 308 GTS qv, and was wondering whether to keep sills matt black or go body (Rosso) colour?

The car has had the odd bit of paint here and there in it's life, so I'm not sure if the matt black was original? Lots of pics on Google of both style.....

The sills consist of 2 parts.
    1) The upper part right below the door. This should be body colour.
    2) The lower part should be black.

My car(UK 2vi) is undergoing body restoration at the moment. My research and what I’m having done is body colour on the sills to the fold on sills where they face the road, where it is black

Useful feedback, thanks. What about the swage line/groove? Mine has what looks like black tape in it - which doesn't fill the groove properly all the way along.

Depends on the year, upper half of the sill (or rocker) was changed from body color to black sometime in the middle of 1983. My July ‘83 QV is body color while a friends identical September ‘83 build is black. There is a webpage somewhere that goes through all of the little trim detail changes and when they occurred but I don’t have the link right now.

Thanks very much for the feedback; if you do discover that link about the trim/detail changes, I'd be most grateful.
