Yes it's a much nicer look. I understand that the vents were designed in because of overheating, but a better approach might have been to relocate the spare tire to the trunk instead.

    Bedankt AMLC,

That is the car that was at the Artcurial auction Retromobile 2017, snapped up cheap by Jean Guikas as the original paint scared people off. It was owned for all its life until then by a Belgian couple who also had a panther see photo of both in this or the next post.

    Hello Carmine,

I don't think the narrow space saver spare costs much in terms of cooling and using that clears a lot of room in the trunk for luggage.

    Guten tag Herbert!

That is 096 of A.F. in Vienna. Not sure if he consigned it or sold it to Bruno de Cillia the dealer in southern Austria.

    Best regards,

    Marc

    Hi Roger,

I have been traveling and may well have missed your post. Yes I was aware of Bo and his car, we exchanged a couple of emails years ago, he is quite private, he has the right wheels on it now, it has had all sorts prior to that (photos).

Even thoug it is AM120US1156 it is one of a handful of US models that never went to the US but were sold directly in Europe, there are 3 to 5 in that case such as 1168.

By the way I will be in Zurich this Sunday late afternoon to Tuesday morning, if you are around we can have a drink...or a coffee it seems I need more caffeine;-)

    All the best,

    Marc

    Hello Marc

Nice Story on the new website of Bill McGrath on their restoration of the Mario Condivi car, but I cannot make out which chassis number that schould be
if the car was previously red/tan and manufactured in 1976?

    Good mornring Roger,

it was great to meet you in Zurich yesterday I enjoyed that!

Not sure about the Monaco car, are there any more photos of it? The only one residing in the Principality I knew of is a red RHD British registered car -387 once featured in Octane- which actually spends most of its time there but it is well know Monaco is replete with cars tucked away in those deep deep garages so who knows there might be more.

The Luci de bosco car i 341, owned by my publisher, it was at KHAMSIN QUARANTA in 2012 so you saw it there but since he was co-organizer with me I suggested that it would be wrong if his car took part in the concours and he immediately agreed so it was there on display only, not judged. But at salon prive in the Uk it received a major award a few years ago, despite our friend Adolfo "Rasputin" Orsi looking for flaws a very long time he could find nothing, niente:)!
    Best regards,

    Marc

    Hi Marc

Likewise, great pleasure for me too!

The car with Monaco plates resides in Köln Germany, so our german readers might know more about it.

About the Luci del bosco car, I was aware that it was also restored by Bill Mc Grath, but it has the early seats, was never painted red to my knowlegde
and the interior is still beige and not the light green, that was chosen for this restoration. So it must be a different car!

    Hi Roger,

I have to speak with Andy. 341 was never red as far as I know but it is the Mario magazine cover car. Here is a scan of a period MTC Cars marketing document with it. The second photo is when my publisher bought it at auction before the prices rose, that auction was in February 2007 in London.

Regarding the Monaco car in Germany if any of our freunde there know anything danke in advance if not I will contact one or two.

    Hi folks

My car 341 is the Condivi car, originally Luci del Bosco with Senape leather as confirmed in the Classiche docs. Definitely never red, we could see the original paint underneath during the restoration. Incidentally the MAR10 number plate is currently on another Khamsin (or was the last time I visited McGraths)

    Hello Flo,

Welcome to the MK thread and congrats on buying 038, I inspected it in Salzburg 4 years ago, very nice car and it seems you have taken good care of it.

You are in Bavaria if I am correct?

I was one week in Schliersee late June for a vacation gorgeous countryside, very relaxing:)

Anyway very good point: that may well be 1058 the ex Ostrich interior car (as done in the early 2000's in new England USA).

We need more photos or info before we can be sure though, let's see what comes up:)

    Best regards,

    Marc

Hi Doug, yes that is another car, very intriguing, I wonder if it is a very ratty red one that was at auction or withdrawn in the UK in recent years, have to ask Andy Heywwod.

    Best regards,

    Marc
