    Always wanted a bright red Ferrari but didn't want the orange or pink hue . I still can't believe most people picked the burnt orange Mclaren color in my poll . These pics don't do the color justice but wanted to share the results anyway . Before people comment , yes i left the headlights black to give it more of a modern look . The color is bright red in the garage and when i have in the driveway , it's the same bright red . I couldn't be happier with the outcome !

    I can't even see how you came to this conclusion.........but ok !

    If i would have painted it Mclaren orange , would it have looked like a MP4 12C ? o_O

    I have already done plenty as far as aftermarket mods go , so why not add a little spin to it and give it a more modern twist . Color matched headlights really date a car .

    In these pics it doesn’t look very different to me from Rosso corsa.

    would you mind posting a photos of the front with the black headlights please? My GF actually suggested having black lights a while back, which as you said, could be considered a more modern look as the F430 and later all have black lights.

    Are those the metal+carbon fiber shields from Ferrari on the side, i.e. not just the sticker kind, but the ones that fit in the ingress? I see them at my garage all the time as they have them on display.

    I will snap a pic later this evening after i get home from work . Your GF has great taste . To me , it really changed the look on the front of the car because now that the car is red , all the dark accents really pop .

    Correct....they are the actual shields and not just stickers . When the car was black and i put them on , i actually thought about going back to the OEM yellow shields because they didn't show as good as i thought they would , but now.....glad i kept them . Along with the black accents and other carbon goodies , they fit in really well .

    It already had all the performance stuff on it so nothing changed there . It was only in the shop for the color change .

    Guards red has a little more orange in it than other shades of red. I like it, I have a guards red car too.

    Well , i'm sure it does have a hue of orange in it but it doesn't show as much as other bright reds with orange . The car is bright red in the shade and the sun . Most of the reds i looked at really changed color between the two .

    If you had painted it olive drab, it would have looked like a Jeep.

    And if you had painted it blue, it would have looked like Thomas the Tank Engine.

    I'm surprised that the red didn't fool ItalGerBritinto thinking it was a fire truck.

    Guards red has ALWAYS been my favorite shade or red. (Sorry about that Ferrari fanatics)

    I've had three Porsches in Guards Red. It does seem to NOT be as popular a color on the Porsche scene these days. :( (old photo, color balance is a little off)
