I also described the fix so I don’t get your issue.

My bad, I thought it was sarcasm. Glad it is fixed. I have a yellow tach and I really love it. I have one on my new 599 as well.

On us MODEL is it necessary to turn of the battery Before taking out the cluster? So you dont get an airbag light.

The way to align the needle is plug in the elec connections and turn on the ignition before replacing the needle. The needle spindles will swing and recalibrate to the "0" position. With ignition still on, carefully replace the needle. It should now be in the correct position.

Are these metric Allen wrenches? If so, what size?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the offer Ray. I went completely ballistic and put a F430 cluster housing with yellow F430 tach in my 360. Although the red tach would look cool too!!

Nice job! I'll bet that was a real *****...

Had I *ordered* a car, I would have specified a red tach. Funny how seeing something close up changes your perception. I think the yellow tach face is totally cool now. Ya think Earl Scheib ("I'll paint any car, any color for $29.95. No ups, no extras".) can spray my calipers yellow?

I have my gauge cluster out (finally) after about 4 hours of working mostly upside down. The video referenced earlier is of a UK car and US 430 are different. I had taken the lower column cover off before to install the Carbonio Scuderia carbon fiber shift paddles. Do you think it will come off this time? Of course not. Fortunately it doesn't need to be removed, just the upper one. And the bolts are identified in the video as "5/32 inch". They are not. They are 4mm. Thank God I have more tools than some F1 teams.

Also, I'm 5'2" and weigh 135 pounds. I have no idea how big people do this because even my tiny hands are next to impossible to squeeze into these microscopic cavities. Years ago my father told me "Cars are made to be assembled, they are not engineered to be repaired. That is certainly the case with my 430. You can actually visualize the assembly sequence by noticing that "that bolt would be easy to remove if I took the engine out.". I'm actually looking forward to installing the Capristo exhaust brackets. There's a ginormous amount of space to do that job.

I'm suspending work for the night. I'll take the gauge cluster apart tomorrow and install the new faces. By stray chance I came across the info that when you take the indicator arms off, you can't just stick them back on. They need to be *calibrated* by turning the ignition to position II (what happened to position I? Position 0 is off).

    Loving the Ferrari lifestyle.

Just finished swapping the Red tach face for the Yellow. A lot of work for a whim. Worth it though...
