That's $126,000 at today's exchange rate and it was even more 2 years ago. Can this be correct? Has someone lost their mind? Was someone fleeced?

51,700 miles, a RHD coupe. Looks very nice with the red carpet.

Ad says 1992, text says '85. Pictures show a T coupe.

This 1985 Mondial T comes with over £95K worth of receipts for work carried out by us at GTO Engineering over the past 2 years.

Well, I know GTO E quite well, but the Mondial T is somewhat out of their normal area of work. They specialise in Ferrs of the 60 - 70's and F40's, so the higher end and they are quite expensive, so I wouldn't be surprised by that figure.

    Well...I think that's a case of "it's all yours"- here's the title.

Holy smokes! The only thing I can think of is it was perhaps in an accident? The bills include all the repairs as the guy had sentimental reasons to keep it instead of parting it out?!

My money is it's a typo. The fact they are calling a 't' 1985 in the same paragraph may be a clue.

GTO Engineering have worked on a few Mondial's that i know of. They're expensive but I doubt they're double what other restoration/high end garages charge. I think the super high cumulative maintenance bills on the 60's/70's Ferrari's are a combination of parts being "unobtanium" and the simple fact that they break a lot.

That said, if someone did a full restoration, mechanical/paint/interior, on a Mondial (or any Ferrari), $100+k sounds like the right ballpark. Labour costs are the same for a Mondial as they are for a 250 Lusso. Same with paint, leather, and some parts.

As a Mondial guy, I like seeing this car for sale at GTO. Good press is one thing, but having the car treated equally to it's siblings in terms of care, maintenance and marketing is where the rubber meets the road.

Agree that 100k is certainly in the realm of possibility. Just strange you would go that route when you can get a museum piece low mileage one for the price? Perhaps the 100k is the sum of all expenses over 30 years?

Guys. You've got it all wrong.

The repair invoice isnt 95,000 Pounds. It's actually 95,000 Pesos.

    Much more reasonable.
