I am considering selling my 550 after 12 years ownership. What could be the right price ?
Spec: Red with sand beige interiour, Fiorano Handling Package with special ordered silver break calipers, hand made sport exhaust (sounds like a 275 GTB...) original can be reinstalled within minutes, 23.000 miles / 37.000 km, one earlier owner, full history and documentation (receipt on every little detail etc. ) / service book and all other books, never repainted, never any accident, can include 6 piece luggage set (never used, beige), original car cover, original tool kit, all keys incl alarm recet key. Scuderia shields in enamel. Car is in mint condition. No scratches, no dents, car looks like new (interiour and exterior perfect).
    Regards Anders

If you can wait, I bet in 5 years these and 575's are at least a double

Assuming no issues, and based on stated options, methinks $170k +/- is a good fair market place estimate.

Market has come down considerably over the last 2 years. I sold my pristine higher miles example for under $100k a little while back. Nice color combination certainly helps but I don't see these fetching more than $120k realistically.

Not to sure how comparable the US market is with the Swedish......or how much expertise there is here on the Swedish 550 market !

mobile.de might be a place to start looking for comparable cars

The last two 550s that sold on BaT went for $155k and $158k. They were very nice, but neither had the FHP.

Stardoc: how can you say the market has come down considerable the last 2 years, when the 550s actually saw the incredible raise just 2 years ago...? 2-3 years ago they were arround 60-80 KUSD...

Dan: Basing your assumption on "hope and best wishes" ?

Pricing of these 550/575's has been well covered in F Chat. You are selling privately, so the new owner will not get a warranty.....thus price accordingly...that's how I would look at it as a buyer.
Even so, there are always 2 prices...…...one to sell, one to realise the maximum possible. The choice is yours, but at the moment, even on a world-wide basis, there are quite a few for sale, private and Dealer.
Dealer needs to stay in business and feed his family, so his cars will probably be more expensive than yours. So, again you price accordingly to sell.
I would agree with others though. Now is not the time to sell. Keep it, look after it, drive round in a beater for a while, and in maybe 2 or 3 years prices will get peaky again. With so many getting damaged and written off.....availability becomes more of an issue over time.
Controversial, I know, but why would you trade one of the prettiest Ferraris of all time for a ''they all look the same Porker'' ?......there are thousands for sale, with very little to differentiate between all the models.....IMHO !

H, I can agree with your statement.
Why a "Beetle"...? This is an every day car instead of a "Garage Queen".
I do agree that they look all the same, but it is a great driving experience.

Don't do it: if you do, you will regret it. And this has nothing to do with money. I have no idea whether it will be worth more or less in 5 years' time, and, frankly, I don't care, but I do know that you have got what sounds like a very nice example of, IMO, the best Ferrari of modern times and that is something to treasure and enjoy, because it would be very difficult to repeat.

I, personally, would not sell that car. But if you do, ask high and be patient. Will you be able to sell a Swedish car to the rest of the EU? Just wonder how big your market is.

Cool, then I'd say about 150K USD.

I spent a lot of time in Sweden. Sublet a flat at 55 Katerina Bangata in Stockholm for a bit. Even learned some of the language. :)

Image Unavailable, Please Login I'm so glad I never thought about my car as an investment, just a wonderful driver..... Pushing 83,000 miles.

It runs perfectly it has all the same stuff your car has but (Fiorano Handling Package with special ordered silver break calipers, hand made sport exhaust )

Original keys all of them window sticker every invoice after that always dealer is serviced etc !

So much more fun to drive these cars and never think about resale :)

As Samuel Johnson would have said, had he driven a Ferrari, "When a man is tired of a 550, he is tired of life". It's just a phase through which you are going - you will come to your senses again in due course, but in the meantime, don't do anything you will later regret when you are yourself again!!
