I see people at restaurants take leftovers home all the time and I wonder do they actually end up eating them? I stopped doing it long ago as I rarely if ever eat leftovers. They're rarely good afterward and if I ate something yesterday, I typically don't want to eat it again the next day (Thanksgiving aside). I see people do this with cold eggs, cold potatoes, chicken....etc. all stuff that don't lend to reheating. I don't know if the majority of people throw these out anyway or what.

    What say you?

Anything with a bone. Bone in rib-eye, bone in filet, tomahawk. When we come home from the restaurant our black lab is eagerly awaiting our arrival. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Doggie bag if significant leftovers. Meat, not veggies, since the latter don't seem to keep as well. Almost always eaten, but never by the dog, as restaurant food is often too heavily spiced/salted. Funny enough, when the mother in law was alive, one of our favorite places would chuck in a half dozen or so extra biscuits, plus some jelly packets, because they knew the old gal loved them! And, we tipped generously.

I've cut back a lot on how much I eat so I usually have leftovers, and yes I do eat them. Can make for a quick lunch or dinner the next day. The wife and daughter do the same.

Few things make a better breakfast than cold leftover pizza.

Otherwise? As someone else mentioned - Mexican food often tastes even better the next day, as do things like lasagna. As far as steaks, I like my meat rare, so either eat the leftovers cold or cut it up for burritos or whatnot.

Our pups get the few things we don't manage to eat. :)

Oh, as for # times per month? Maybe 3 or 4.

Leftovers, like tipping, is a very American concept.

In both the best and worst ways.

We always take them home (assuming there are leftovers to take home.)

Either my dog or my stepson get them, pretty much whoever gets to the bowl first wins. :D

A couple times a week. I work in the food industry though, so there's usually some food at the end of the day.

Edit - I almost always eat them.
