I would actually enjoy watching F1 just to see Elton constantly LOSE! He wouldn't tolerate more than 2 seasons of sucking wind at this point in his career. He'd retire and perhaps become a fashion mogul or some kind of alleged "artist".

I absolutely can’t stand that drama queen ******. All that car pushing and laying by the car for five minutes with his head down is all for the cameras and faux sympathy. Any other driver would have gotten out of the car and walked away. But captain tattoos has to put on a big show.
I hope a back marker takes him out in turn one so Toto can say it was intentional to destroy “the anointed ones” title hopes.

Break all the rules you want Elton Ham-Dashian. Everyone, the entire sport of F1, the entire team of Mercedes is all slave to your celebrity. Oh you sad, little one? Here is a win for you.

You seriously need a new source of inspiration if you think someone getting paid 40 million a year pushing a car is "inspiring"

And Lewis will not get a penalty or fine for crossing the pit lane entry during the race once he commited to it.

He really is teflon to penalties given this weekends scenario's....and Germany is riddled with them. I can name 5 already.

I guess we can change the title to "Will Lewis be fined or penalized for his actions in qualifying and the race?"

Of course he didn't get anything for it. He never goes. Can do what he wants and it never matters. Meanwhile, Vettel impedes someone without consequence in Q2 and gets 5 grid places. But nothing to see here, I am just a wacko conspiracy theorist.

The total elevation change over the whole lap is a whopping 3.3 metres, and no where near the event.

Nothing more that Toto and Niki swinging by the stewards hotel rooms with thick unmarked envelopes full of Euros before each race weekend. ;)

It's not just F1 I have seen the past couple of years at pro motocross races some riders getting black flagged for violation yet others get off free as a bird.. This crap takes away from the true competition of all participants being held to the same standard at every event.

We should change the name of this thread to: will LH ever get anything other than a reprimand?

I see now first hand what Hamilton apologists tell me about the unhinged hatred toward him.
    • I'm a Ferrari fan, so seeing Hamilton lose does give me delight -- but I try to be objective with events.
    • To "greyboxer" and those here so concerned about safety: The report says otherwise*, yes, yes, you disagree; but whether you like it or not, the FIA steward's judgment matters more than you all. Feel free to disagree, and please do not take personal offense if I agree with the professional stewards over your assessment here.
    • GLS12: I find his high compensation even more reason to be inspired by the act. It is exactly the fact that he gets paid a huge amount that usually could jade and deflate the competitive spirit, at this point, he can 'coast' and still take his 40MM. To see a driver physically pushing a car? We all agree, Jesus himself would have needed to come down to make it work. For him to still try against the steepest of odds? It's unbridled "Rudyesque" heart.
    • I do not believe that it was not a manufactured stunt, nor was his head bowed down false theatrics. I readily admit I don't know for sure, but unless your name is Lewis Hamilton, you don't either.
I'll say it again, I by no means am a Hamilton 'lover' I've seen my share of prima donna shamefulness, but I do respect the act of physically pushing a car to get the job done.

*(iii) At no time was there any danger to any other competitor and the change in direction was executed in a safe way.

Errata: The link above is the report for the Race pit lane switch, not any formal investigation for his pushing. Although, I could find no rule in the handbook that says you must stay in the car if it breaks down nor are you not allowed to push it. (happy to be corrected)

The rules are the rules, and if you don't enforce them evenly, there's no point in having them. Ham broke two safety regs in one weekend and got away clean.

"Under no circumstances may a driver stop his car on the track without justifiable reason"...
So you think "I wanted to push it back to the pits to get it ready for Q3" is a "justifiable reason"???

He's talking the referees not doing their jobs on certain people on certain teams when they do something they shouldn't be doing. Like Neymer and Messi get less punished or non at all. Referees just turn a blind eye over proper rulings and instead impose their own just cause.

Like you know head kicking? It should be red card instead yellow card. Oh and then we get random thrown in penalty kicks even though that shouldn't be for certain players doing that. It's the sheer reputation of standards that makes decisions like the ones made that ruins the sport and actual fairness.
