hi, we are looking to add a lift to our home garage to fit an additional car. Any recommendations of lift sales and installers in Metrowest Boston?

    Thanks in advance

I got my four post from Tool and equipment Corp in north Attleboro.

Great company to deal with, the owner Glen answers the phone personally 95% of the time.

Had mine for over ten years, had one minor issue that required a service call and Glen himself came up to diagnose the problem and do a complete inspection of the lift while he was there.

Still in the process of making the final decision but have really enjoyed Glenn from Tool & Equipment Corp who came out and talked to my wife and I for about 45 minutes. As it turns out, he also installed a lift to a neighbor of mine.

I am having my garage door guys come out and move the rails up 2 feet hopefully early this week and then T&E install the lift later this week... if all goes to plan.

I used TEC also. They usually have a couple of demo lifts at Tutto Italiano.

Following up the thread. @Glenn from TEC was awesome. Came by once to take a peek at the space, get to know me and my wife, and talk cars. Turns out he did an install for one of my neighbors (a few houses away). We’re fully installed and car is up on the lift. Thank you to everyone here.

I love this forum. I posted the first question here 16 days ago and the project is fully completed now. You all rock.

That’s awesome, I am so glad it all worked out. Is that a 7000 lb model ?

Glenn is great guy and his company to deal with as you now already know.

I told him he owes me a commission ( or a case of Coors Light ).

He sure is. He even came by today to show me how to use the lift, put the car on, and get my comfort level up. I was a bit worried I’d drive over the lift and ruin the car. Great guy.

Ask for the lift, it’s the extended model (height, width). I believe it does 9,000lb. I ended up with extended b/c my garage bays are wide and the regular model would have looked aesthetically awkward from the outside.

    9000 XL great choice.

When I got mine years ago I went with the 7000 XL, sometimes I wish I had gone for the extra capacity of the 9000. You made the right decision.

Did they bolt the lift to the floor? I installed my own lift and never bolted it. I was told it was better to let it walk. It keeps it from binding. It's worked for more than a decade but I've never been completely comfortable with it.

my installer said for home application in a good level surface no need to bolt, in commercial space or non level then need to bolt. makes sense to me. bolting it down would serve no real purpose. and would really complicate removal and damage floor.
