One of my favorite things to draw are F1 steering wheels; I find them to be beautiful and complex pieces of machinery. This one in particular is Sebastian Vettel’s Ferrari SF16H wheel. I made the front and back view of it (both in this post). The back one brought me some trouble with Ferrari as I had discovered and drawn a mysterious third paddle that only Vettel had and that the team wanted to keep secret. I noticed it at the GP of Spain and had to publish it. Part of being a journalist! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I love your work greatly. I don’t like if it gives the other teams info that the Scuderia would like kept confidential.

Amazing stuff, Giorgio! Thanks for this!

Pls do a rendering of Seb's 2017 steering wheel and add some extra (but non-existent) paddles behind the steering wheel. Will keep Toto and his cronies awake at night... ;)

Looks like a video game control for Battle Bots. Thanks for the close up look at what is wrong with the modern cars. All that "stuff"...that drivers used to do with just their brain and their right foot.

That's a beautiful drawing, Giorgio, and with incredible detail! I'm not sure if I'm looking at this correctly, as the bottom right paddle, and the 90* plug on the bottom left, are on the same side on both the front and back sides of the wheel. Wouldn't the lower paddle and 90* plug be flipped to the opposite side?

Always found it funny how long it took for Ferrari to finally bring their wheel into the 21st century...they kept the metal toggle switches forever! Only last year did they upgrade the wheel and got rid of that ancient tech:eek:

Only thing missing now is the anti-skid button;) or is that the 'GRIP' rotary dial on there? Maybe he fumbled the setting in Germany?

Then kind of pumelled it to death!
