I need to replace one of my 430 spiders with one of these. I got butterflies seeing it swoop by about 50 yards from the hole we were playing. The 430 is nice but the 360 is perfect especially from behind. Aging gracefully to say the least in my eyes! Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
I agree, it’s a timelesss design. I’ve had mine 8 years now, and it just keeps getting better with every mile. We considered the 430 during our search as well, and just preferred the looks of the 360. It is truly a work of art.
For some reason, the 360 Modena looks lower and wider than the F430 !! It has more of a supercar look !! The higher placement of the rear lights in the F430 make it less exotic, in my opinion of course !! I think the 360 is the first modern Ferrari that in the future will appreciate in value !!
Ur right it does have more of a supercar look. I did a double take even though I knew exactly what it was!! Sent from my BBB100-3 using Tapatalk
I'm probably in the minority here but I don't find the 360 superior as far as looks over the 430. The 430's design for me strikes the perfect balance between a modern-looking Ferrari like the 458/488 and an older one like the 355/360. I don't know why some complain about the rear lights on the 430. It's modeled after the legendary Enzo's and I don't see too many people complaining about the Enzo's looks.
Looks just like mine - except for the plates. I think all the curves is what makes this car beautiful!
360s have nicer rear ends... uncluttered and classic. Looks better with a Challenge grill than body color in my opinion.
I’m with you, to my eyes the 360 is a perfect design and will stand out as one of the best-looking classics after it ages a bit more so it’s no longer an “almost new” Ferrari. To be fair, the 360 is more modelled after the F50 and they cost more than Enzos.
I’m on the fence in the debate. I like the modern, more aggresive touches on the 430...and yet the 360 does look lower and wider even when they’re side by side. Neither car looks like an f50 or Enzo tho. Lol. But if I had to pick, the Enzo is far sexier than an f50. I always hated the belt/rubrail around the middle of the f50. Enzo is up there with LaF.
The 360 is the original iteration of the design. Where I view the 430 as a tweeked 360 ... a designer has more freedom w a clean sheet of paper vs making slight mods for a facelift... All imho,
Enzo is up there with LaF for me too... expensive cars that aren’t available in manual that I’d have zero interest in no matter how much money I had. Manual masterpieces like F50/CGT/McF1 though? Those are the dream. I do agree that the F50 would look even better without the black line all the way around it, but for me it’s not significant enough to make it not the best looking car ever.
Completely agree re: the 360. It is the last analog ferrari in my opinion; no manettino, no screens, just a steering wheel and a gear shift. Its a sleeper - especially the manual version. One day people will wake up and realize that only just over 2000 manuals were ever built. Despite the recent price rises over the last few year I think prime examples will double in value over the next 5 years. Can’t believe it turns 20 next year!
I've never really cared for the 360/430's and had always felt the 430 was better looking. Lately, the 360 is growing on me. I don't think it photos well - looks much better in person.
360 Ms have a certain uniqueness in looking (relatively) modern while feeling old school. Some people will appreciate that, others just wont get it...ie more is more...more modern, more power etc is always best. For me, if I was more of the more-is-more type, the 430 wouldn’t have satisfied that...I would have went to a Lambo.
Just picked up my manual 360 from annual oil change today, I’m blown away by what a perfect car it is every time a drive it. What is the magic that Ferrari used with 430 to make it appear less low and wide when we know it is the same??? I don’t understand.
The 360 shape reckons back to cartoonish race cars from mid late 60’s when I entered this planet. I had matchbox cars w that shape... so appealing and familiar to me ... all imho.
I spent 15 years looking at a model of a red, 360 coupe on my credenza before I bought the real thing. It never looked old or dated throughout those years. It remains, in my opinion, one of the cleanest and best portioned cars I have ever seen.
Agree with all the above concerning the 360. I just bought my 3rd one! Timeless design and raw visceral performance. Addictive.
You are crazy, damn, damn crazy! Let me show you the hematomas on my arms from digging out the tail lights on my 360 last weekend. I have come to the conclusion that there is a rarefied place for those of us who love the torture of maintenance in exchange for the thrill of use.
Its a good crazy though. Actually my 2 previous 360s were a joy to own and drive with routine maintenance. No torture whatsoever.
