Anybody have any Aftermarket Seats in their 360? I'm looking to pick up a pair of RECARO Sportster CS. Wonder if anybody has done them before. I found some photos of them in a Silver 360, link below. https://www.fusionmotorco.com/vehicles/255/2002-ferrari-360-modena But, main thing I want to ask is, what brackets are people using for RECARO Seats?
Why does it have a substitute VIN? The “B” denotes a Euro version that I understand but I think you should inquire why a substitute VIN. Also inquire vid it’s been federalized. One last not the front bumper is very tough but which could be hiding repair work. Hope all works out for you and don’t forget a PPI.
The OP is not interested in buying this car....he is interested in purchasing seats similar to what this car has.
I have Sparco EVO 2 seats in my 430. Standard side mounts (no rails) drop straight in to the existing bolt holes. Bought them here https://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=514 but you should be able to source these everywhere. I have always thought the Cobra Misano seats would look great in a 360/430. Also look at Planted brand brackets for seat bases, they seem to have a lot of options.
I have the Recaro Pole Positions in my 360. With Recaro alu mounts and the manual sliders. They just bolt in the existing floor anchor nuts like it was meant to be. Perfect driving position for me and I'm 190cm. Still one of the best all round seats out there.
Interesting. Thanks for the responses guys, I contacted Planted Technology, and he gave me some good advice.
Did you end up getting them? I found your thread looking for these specifics seat in a 360. I think it's a great alternative to the CS seats, only 2 kg more per seat, no visible carbon but not a big deal and great price
I've got Recaro CS in my 360 spider. Great improvement over stock and really lifts the interior too. Mounts were made from flat steel bar with a bend on the front to meet the front mounting point. Retrimmed the seats with covers from AMX Performance in Poland and fitted heated seats at the same time, you can just about see the switch for the heated seats on the side of the frames (didn't want to be drilling holes in the car anywhere) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for sharing Looks like your steering wheel was retrimmed too? Would you mind sharing a picture?
I have been looking into getting a set of Recaro Sportsers as well for my F430 . The biggest challenge is finding Recaro Mounts to install the seats into the car properly. Does anyone have reccomendations for this? I can get a set of Bride Rails from Japan that mount into the F430 but I will need some customization to make them fit the Recaro Sportsters properly.
You know there are sport seats that were an option. Challenge straddle and regular cars had them. They fit on the oem rails and look great. They are a bit more expensive. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Has anyone tried these https://www.braumracing.com/universal-racing-seats/ Sent from my SM-G996U1 using Tapatalk
I like this seat that is coming out https://www.braumracing.com/product/falcon-s-series-reclinable-seats-black-alcantara-red-stitching/ Sent from my SM-G996U1 using Tapatalk
But leaning more towards this one https://www.braumracing.com/product/advan-series-racing-seats-black-leatherette/ Sent from my SM-G996U1 using Tapatalk
I just called Braum and they are limited to what they will do. If you need a certain color combination they can't do it
In my opinion, recaro pole position suit better the 360 CS are too modern (I don't like 458/488 in Modena for the very same reason) The leather/alcantara pole position might be a perfect fit for the Modena
