    Have it your way!
    My nomination:
Old school headlights or headlights on the hood? Throw in a pair of fog lamps, too. And some mirror turn signal lights…….

I have just gotten back from The Goodwood Festival of Speed. This is a great event that I would recommend to everyone (accept people who don't like cars). This event has some similarities with the Monterey Historics but adds in modern and yet to be released sports cars and also a lot of manufacturer involvement. I was there for the release of the new Singer DLS, which I have been working on for the last 2 years. It was very well received. The white car was a fully finished display car and the red one had a more stripped interior and race seats as it was used to do the runs up the driveway. The engine is a 964 based 4 liter air cooled 6, making 500hp and reving to 9000rpm's! It sounds awesome!

Curious during your design phase if there was a debate between doing the flares integrated and (the final result) as add on? Since you are in a Resto-Mod sort of world, but trying to keep more exterior originality, what debates id you face?

When we started, Rob (Rob Dickinson, owner and lead designer of Singer) had a vision of what the car would be, not exactly how everything would look but the big picture, like the concept sketch. This vision included the separate flares and although some random people asked about integrating the flares, it was never a consideration. Other areas were more controversial. The flush front and rear windscreens, for example. Singer's current car is considered to be backdated, the new car is not so easy to pinpoint. Having flush glass was definitely not a backdated move, so some people were concerned about this modernization and whether it would fit with the rest of the car. It also meant that the front windscreen would have to be new (The rear was radically different, so it had to be new either way) which meant a rather substantial financial hit. In the end, Rob tends to get what he wants, and everyone is happy with the final look.

Congratulations ! I have been drooling over it since the pictures came out. The attention to detail is amazing ! What was Daniel Simon's involvement in the project ? I hope to see it in person at Pebble Beach.

Daniel worked closely with Rob on the initial concept and then was involved throughout the design process, giving his input on things as we went through different iterations etc. He also does all the fancy renderings for the press releases.

Actually, just put the designs into current rendering format and I reckon you could shop them quite successfully!
