Max is not mature enough for Ferrari. I wouldn't want to see Elton either. Ideally I would like to see Vettel with Daniel. Since that is not happening, I would stay with Vettel and Kimi.
I don't know if I can put up with this kind of chat for three more week ends. Therefore . . . * Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ferrari with give anything to have Hamilton drive for them they just can't say it publicly. They Hamilton would have already locked up the WDC in that red rocket if he were driving it. Everyone knows it's the better car but Vettel still can't pull it off. Vettel's fan base is much much smaller than Hamilton's
+1000! I think even Ferrari have realized that Hamilton would have the title clinched if he were driving for them.
To much is made of this... McLaren made the wrong tire choice for Hamilton so he had to make an extra stop with out this Vettel wouldn't have won.
But to answer the question... if Ferrari wasn't too soon another WDC within the next two years then no. They should dump him.
So Max was driving on the track but you think you know better... Lewis would have Toto out with a communique about why it is not Lewis fault as seen the day before and you dare to talk about excuses... Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
What was it about excuses??? Or the last race in Brazil when Seb overtook Lewis in the rain ON THE SAME TIRES for a place Lewis needed to get the WDC and your rain God had absolutely no answer and got lucky that they overtook Glock a few hundred meters before the end... Good preparation is key to winning races, as is being naturally fast. Schumacher demonstrated that time and again, especially at Barcelona in '96. Similarly, it was a well deserved victory for Vettel in Italy.
You are out of your mind. Alonso already had his chance...and failed. Hamilton has never clutched a championship like Vettel or Kimi have done. Everything has come easy or fallen into his lap. You talk as if Vettel is useless, yet with all these mistakes he still is somehow gunning for championships and wins? If he pulled his head out of his rear he'd have 5 and be heading towards 6 with Hamilton who? Yet Vettel is the one who messed up and somehow Hamilton is made to be a god by being handed gifts? And the Ferrari is no where near as good as your making it out to be just like it was nowhere as bad as everyone made it to be when Alonso was driving it. It's on equal footing to the Merc with both cars barely going back and forth between tracks/updates.
The Red Bull was the dominate car, any top 10 driver could have been 4 time champ if he found himself lucky enough to be in that seat. I’ve never been impressed by Vettles championship wins. I’ve been more impressed by his drive at Ferrari were he has had to struggle.
Does that mean that Lewis is not fast either because as far as I can see his Mercedes was even more dominant?
Interesting post as it pretty clear shows your mind set... First you analize in epic way why the win of Seb is actually nothing just to point at Lewis´ wins without spending a second about the circumstances they were achieved... As you point at Hungary 2014 I would suggest you rewatch the race...It started with Lewis spinning, then he got help from 2(!) safety cars that basically screwed the race of Rosberg f.e. When Rosberg was behind him still at the same strategy as Ricciardo it was Rosberg racing for the victory and not Lewis. Lewis was asked to let Nico past but refused basically ruining Nicos race. In the last lap he sent Nico off track after being passed by Ricciardo... After this race instead of being spanked for ignoring team orders Toto spared him an enteroscopy by having a look himself and saying "we should have not asked Lewis to let Nico pass" although this was clearly to their rule to first secure the victory before taking care of any particular driver. For all those who did not notice that day who is the preferred driver Toto made it clear two weeks later by stapling Nicos balls to the door of the team bus in Spa So if this race shows anything, then certainly not the "rain god Lewis" but what an ******* he is and how coward Toto is.... In Hungary the Ferrari might have been faster in the dry heat but what makes you think that you can simply transfer this into the wet??? As Ferrari is faster on the straight it is easy to figure that they drive with less downforce as I doubt the half second Toto figured out is only to HP because this would be massive. Furthermore the Ferrari does not heat the tires as much as Mercedes which also means that the disadvantage of Mercedes in the heat might be an advantage in the cold/wet: getting the tires easier on temperature. So when the Mercedes has more downforce and an advantage with the tires all of the sudden the advantage of Ferrari is gone and the Ferrari is simply not the faster car in the wet. This theory is also shown by the fact that Bottas was second in the qualy unless you want to tell me that by coincidence Mercedes does not only have the best but also the second best rain driver in their team (which I really doubt at least for Bottas). Yes, Vettel is no Schumacher but neither Lewis nore Alonso are either....And as pointed out Alonso already prooved that he is not that spearhead and one might doubt that Lewis would be either. This relationship would end in tears as I doubt anyone at Ferrari would lick his boots like Toto does and as soon as someone questions Lewis I doubt that he would bring the best performance.
He hasn't had to work for anything. When he is forced to work, he chokes and takes out his teammate or simply drives off the track while in the lead and under no pressure. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any top ten driver? So, Mark Webber wasn't a top ten driver? Let's be honest - Sure, it was the best car. And sure, both Webber and Vettel had the same car, right? Yet it was Vettel that won 4 Championships to Webber's . . . . I'll let you fill in the blank.
Same for Lewis and his 3 titles with MB, Vette had 4 years with the dominate car, the key to this sport is being good enough, smart enough, and lucky enough to end up in the dominate car. Schumacher years were so dull to watch because you knew who would win before you turned on TV. Want to make it a sport again? Add 10 kilos every time a car wins, should get rid of the dominate car syndrome that are last 3 “superstars” have enjoyed over the last 20 years.
Sorry, but that gimmicky stuff isn't F1. OK, maybe DRS . . . . OK, maybe tire changes. OK, maybe grid place penalties . . . .
This As I have said on here many times: Team principals are trying to maximize their chances of winning by putting the best driver into the best car. You don't end up in a dominating car because of sheer luck (well, maybe Patrese did but didn't know what to do with it) but because you are the best. And yes, the MS years were a total snooze fest. Anybody with a fleeting knowledge of F1 could predict the winner. As for making it interesting again: Yes, added weight would help or my other favorite: Reversed grid. We had a couple of great races with Hamilton starting/racing from the back and those were the most interesting races. Imagine the leaders of the WDC had to do this every race!
