Hello everyone, this is one of my first posts as an actual owner though I've been reading this forum for years. From another post, I was looking for a Gated 360 for a while, but couldn't find the right one for me. Then this 2006 Gated 430 spider found me!! I saw it for sale but didn't think too much of it, then a friend reached out to me and sent me the car link and strongly suggested I stretch my budget and consider it. Then what started as a conversation over a 360 in inventory with Ferrari of Washington led to this car and their long relationship with it (they've serviced it for 8+ years and knew it well). They told me all about it even thought they weren't selling it for the owner, it was a private sale but they said the car was remarkable and I should look into it. It was fairly local.... hmmm, this is adding up. The icing, the owner was an absolute delight to work with. Accommodating, honest, easy to talk to. The spec was amazing, never thought I'd have one like this. Rosso Corsa/Tan, CCB's, Carbon driving zone, carbon cabin zone, carbon engine compartment, Power Daytona seats, shields, red calipers, leather bench, hi-fi sound.... and it has the Powertrain warranty for another 7 months. Only 19k miles and well sorted because of it. I plan to drive it too. So I just went for it, shook hands 2 minutes into the test drive and there I was, I just bought my first Ferrari. I called FOW again and they went through the service history with me. It was well cared for, new MKII manifolds 3 years ago, etc. 1000 miles since they sold it, had their inspection report handy, and only had great things to say about the car and the last 2 owners (I'm the 4th). First picture is our very first minute of ownership I'll post more pics soon. What a great weekend this was, one I'll probably never forget. Next stop is with Nick Oakes who will do some minor paint correction, replace the PPF, CQuartz, and detail it for me to start off fresh. Image Unavailable, Please Login

It’s my dream as well, beyond my dreams actually. Though it was more than I wanted to spend, I kept thinking about posts I read where the advise was to buy the most car you can. Well, this was the most car for me, for sure. I wanted something remarkable, in a remarkable brand. I think I achieved it, and I simply love manual shifting, always have. I love the control, the starts off the line, the challenge of driving smooth, the challenge of rev matching, something to hold with my right hand when I’m just cruising around Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Beautiful congrats!! I followed that car as soon as it was posted for sale, just wasn’t the right timing for me but it looked perfect with all of the carbon fiber options. I think you made a smart purchase and got a very special car! More pics please!!!
Thank you, she’s definitely a keeper! I have a couple pics from FOW for now: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Congrats, believe it or not it one of those things that just keeps getting better. At least it has for me.
I too think it will. One of the things I underestimated was how helpful the community can be. Of course there are exceptions, but far fewer than I was led to believe there would be from others. The team at FOW spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with me answering questions and giving thoughtful advice, and I haven’t spent a dime with them. I was concerned about how to get it inspected and Someone stepped up with a plan. Transportation to and from a shop, again someone reached out to help. The guys at Competizione, well, might still be chuckling at some of my questions but they gave great, patient answers and like FOW I’m not a customer, yet. I’m excited to get involved with the local clubs too, maybe Penn/Jersey region might be closest or mid-Atlantic region if northern Va. can’t wait until I can hit a cars n coffee, last time i did it was years ago in my Shelby in NorCal. Loved those early morning jaunts across town. I’ll enjoy driving the car for sure, but there’s a lot more than just Sunday drives I’m looking forward too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
