When the weather's good, this is such a nice event with a great turnout. The first one I went to was back in 1991, crazy to see how much the event has grown since then! Pretty warm this year and by around 1 the concession vendor ran out of bottled water and the coffee/gelato truck was out of iced coffee, boo. There's usually a few treats, this year saw the first production 250 California Spider (0919GT) as well as a nice display of older Alfas and Maseratis from the 40s and 50s. Lots of the usual suspects, cars from the 80s-today, though sadly no boxers this year. Was good to see your car, highest mile car I was aware of at the event.
That kid is the best pic of the show! Made some new friends at the Alfa tent. Sadly, my fervor for the Schumacher F1 car and an early cheeseburger meant I missed the judges down in the Alfa section. All that work for naught! Ah well, it was a good event and I made contacts with the Alfa club. Lots of interest in my car and I am pretty sure I heard the judges behind me when I came back. I'll show here again at Tutto Lite, although I don't think it's judged. It was really hot and the shade and conversation at the Alfa tent was superb. Thank guys! (Rossina was at the Dreamride the day before, delayed by that horrible rain but all the kids got rides. We had more than enough cars) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Absolutely fabulous day (I love the heat anyway). I had fun with old friends and finally hooked up with some online friends. Anthony James it was finally great to connect with a real person. (BTW, thanks for the sunscreen referral, but they don't make one for my wife's Panamera). Eric (laserguru) you were parked so close to me, but somehow I never saw you (your car looked fabulous, I'm sure you looked the same, ) Bruce (Bdel) arrived in a caravan of one! John K, I saw your gorgeous Guila, but unfortunately you were nowhere to be found. ferrariguyma (sorry you told me your name but I forgot), it was great speaking with you. I've seen that special car before and never knew the owner. And a special congrats to local boy Ken Goldman who won Best In Show!!!!
Dido Paul, and your hospitality was much appreciated. I never did find Ken to thank him for his advice on my Ferrari search, but if you catch this post Thank You!
I've been attending this show for several years and it was another great turn out this weekend. I just uploaded a bunch of photos from the show to my Flickr album. Tutto Italiano 2018
I’m not sure why, I made the album public but I’ll check it again. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Great pics. 488 Spider and Huracan same shade baby blue or a little different? Just can't beat a nice Miura, gorgeous!
Sorry Nospinzone, I bet the judges thought the same thing. It was foolish of me to walk away so early. Even though the schedule wasn't available, I should have figured they would start judging at 11AM. That was in the back of my mind. Do you know if any new Giulias won anything? I also learned that the old Giallo California near show center was a replica not authentic!
It was quite a show. I must say the Dino and the Marak were my favorites along with the Espada. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
