The Milwaukee Concours was pretty nice this year. Almost hot enough to be Florida or Texass. Several really nice Ferrari's and a few very nice Aston Martins. Great pics. Good luck with the hoses. I went to ccg today. Was really cool. My car attracted a lot of interest.
Did they have any interesting cars inside today? Next big local concours is in Geneva later this month. Anybody hear when Ferrari of Lake Forest is having their concours this year??
my first time there today. nice blue 488 with ccbs . really nice 964 with some black gold wheels I never saw before, that's all that stands out after a couple brews right now.
Wow this sucks. Chicago went from having many amazing events to 0 event. No more Ferrari on Oak. No LFSC concours. Rise and Drive is dead. No Barrington Concours.
LFSC's cancellation sucks but we still have Geneva and Fuelfed Ferrari in September. Maybe the McLaren boys downtown should put something together
I gotta say the staff and people at rise and drive were super nice. I didn’t know the protocol and when I pulled in to the lot I asked some people in CCG shirts what to do. The woman told me to drive on and look for a man in a yellow hat. When I drove through I didn’t see anybody in a uniform / yellow hat. So I drove back around. The lady came back toward me and I told her I didn’t see the guy I. The yellow hat so I just parked where ever and she apologized that I had to drive back around. It wasn’t a big deal at all to me. After I parked the yellow hat guy named Burt came and apologized as well. I’m like hey i got to see all the cars without having to walk no biggie. After I learned that Burt has a awful lot of Italian vintage bikes and soon after he took me and a few guys in a tour of the garage. Burt has a lot of old cool cars and Italian bikes in there. It was fun and lots of people hovering around my car asking about it I was the only Ferrari car there. So my Gt4 had some glory. Cool!
The staffing for getting you set up and parked was more in place earlier in the event. By the time you arrived the staff was kind of scattered around. Kind of strange as the event does run to 11. I was leaving (white NSX) when you were arriving. CCG is down a lot of cars. My understanding is the biggest client (kept over 30 cars there) moved them elsewhere.
Understood Regardless the organizers were super nice. Oh yeah I saw you. I was thinking carbon fiber wheels? Nice car btw
LFSC concours is supposed to return next year. I do miss Ferrari on Oak and hope one day that will return.
