First one that I will miss in a long time but I'm out of town. I thought that the Ferrari day was usually in May or June. June is always bad as it's the FCA picnic on the first Sunday.

Report on the event. It was at the mall, as mentioned, but I think many of us were not aware that the specific location was moved to the southern parking area near the theaters. This isn't as nice a location as the previous northwestern corner along Topanga Blvd. Mostly this is because the lot is broken up into smaller sections and there are no services like the Corner Bakery at the other area. Also inconvenient, but not the fault of the event, was that the Topanga exit on 101 west/north was closed for roadwork.

Overall, there were a lot less Ferraris than I am used to seeing at SS's in the past. I didn't see AutoGallery either, I guess they aren't involved any longer and they aren't the Valley Ferrari dealer. There weren't very many FCA people that I could spot and the club presence was pretty understated if they were there. The variety of Ferraris was, in my opinion, not very deep, including the modern models. No Dinos, for example. No GT4s. No 400's. Very few vintage 12 cylinder cars, maybe 3 that I saw - 250 Spider, 250 Lusso and a Daytona coupe. A LaFerrari appeared as a surprise. As if there was a memo issued earlier, there were surprisingly few Lamborghinis present. I counted maybe 100 cars at the max? Not like years past when this event vied for participation records. Oh well. Probably won't attend the next one.

Hahaha ‍♂️...sorry, I cannot stop laughing. Since we are on the topic of complaints. I can add to the dismay and mention that Eric Sander of GTO Engineering was present. This was my only problem. The guy is a slimeball in every character of the word. Perhaps next time, he can keep his commentary to himself about my trusted Ferrari mechanic. This wasn’t my first run in with him. The previous was the Rodeo Drive concours d'elegance 2018, where I showed my TR. I mean the guy is a non-stop sales machine, just too slimy for my taste. This is all the negative I have to say.
