Finally everything came together, kids with grandparents, sun was shining, so my wife and me could take the little gray on a 7 day roadtrip. Ended up with a 1000 mile roundtrip and the car behaved wonderfully.

Since we wanted a little old fashion elegance and Norway is mostly peasant country, we had to cross the border in to Sweden to live in some castles.

    Castle one.

Second castle. This have a view over the sea in to Denmarks capital

Found that two Mulberry Clipper Medium fits the 308 boot perfectly.

Sweden has great country roades and few cops.;)

    No AC and 30C.

Few Ferraris on the road, so when we meet we play a little.

    Thanks guys!

Well, it performs great-ish, but I think it runs a tad rich at WOT. Had a couple of black smoke incidents. Try to go down a size on main jet or up on the AC jet. Runing F24 ET which gives me great transitions with no stumbles, but the sparkplugs are black.

Here is another F-car I runned into in the middle of nowhere. :)

Not just the car which needs fuel.

    Thanks!

Both me and my wife loved it and it handled the modern traffic perfectly. This won't be our last journey! :)

not necessary. Next time cross the danish border or even the german. Then you get something like this even in blond:

Sorry for derailing the topic, but for us germans beer belongs to basic food :)

    Thats to much! :)

The beer wasn't stale, but you are right, it sure looks stale. I prefer dunkelbier, but when I'm really thirsty almost anything goes.

This is great and brings back fond memories of road trips in my '84 308 QV when I lived in Texas plus one or two more recent short jaunts in Saxony... @martin N., now that I am in Dresden, you, Mark R, and I will need to hook up for a proper road trip in our 308's (plus any others that would like to join in). I promise to keep the boost at ~4psi so there will only be ~300 'horses' at the rear wheels... I'll bring a crate of Andechs Weissbier (they also have a Dunkel if needs be).

Great stuff André and many thanks for sharing...

We had originally planned to take a trip to Lübeck and surroundings, but I got cold feet since this was the first long trip with the 308. Both my wife and me love to travel in Germany, so next year we plan to take a little more ambitious journey. Fill up the tank at Öresund so we don't have to stop before we've crossed the border and entered the A7.
