Hi guys, I need a stock replacement for a Euro spec (non-cat) 1986 Testarossa. Since these seem virtually impossible to find online, I'm considering just fitting the US version, as there are plenty on ebay. Just want to confirm that this shouldn't cause any issues with the engine/sensors or anything? Also, out or curiosity, anyone know if there is a sound difference? I imagine there would have to be. Cheers!
I believe the Euro spec headers-outlets are not in the same location as the US version, so you would have to fabricate pipes to mate up the headers to the muffler. Also...I think that the Euro muffler mounting locations may be slightly different. It may be possible to have a set of US version Pre-Cats modified to fit up to the Euro spec headers....and if so...maybe just some cutting and re-flaring of the pipes. I'm pretty sure there will be some difference in sound, don't know if better or worse though.
Is that really impossible to find? you may have a look at https://www.eurospares.co.uk/parts/ferrari/testarossa-1987/exhausts/exhaust-system-not-for-u-s-sa-and-ch87-31020/124495
