Paddle shift might me nice for some cars, especially GT's and 2+2's, but for a sports car I really need a manual to be satisfied.
That could be true, the few track days I have done in the F355 and the F360 were fun, but after switching to a "Slower" Miata, my track fun increased greatly and loved going through all 5 gears throughout the laps
How to experience the "visceral joy" of a manual Ferrari: drive the car. How to experience the "visceral joy" of a flappy-paddle Ferrari: blinky lights!
I think the lights are super cool. I love the 360, but really would like a smaller and nicer steering wheel.
I love the 360 flappy paddles and all it is a fun car.yes I have had faster cars like 09 viper acr hell even my viper 96 gts was probably faster my Bentley gt but to me fast is not what makes the car.the 360 has a great front view kinda like a gokart I can see the road perfectly.i find the interior basic but great couple small upgrades and your good to go and the power is just right. I think to much power gets you bragging rights big deal.i own a Ferrari need I say more. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
My first Ferrari - 01 360 Modena 6 speed bought December 16. Absolutely love the car but ...... I can’t believe I’m saying this, the Tubi exhaust is too loud. Back to stock or other alternatives? New to the forum and enjoying it immensely. Thanks.
Too loud from inside the car, or outside? I don’t find it too loud when I’m driving it, but my wife hates hearing it outside. She thinks it’s “embarrassing “ to the neighbourhood.
My 360 stick also came with a Tubi, which was too loud. I got an OEM Challenge Stradale exhaust with valves. It's quiet puttering around, but loud when you gas it.
I love to make my "girl" scream. Also love that she has no cup holders or cruise control. If you are going to drive her, drive her wild.
AMEN Brother. We finished a 1968 pro touring Camaro for a young man of about 30 years old. It had a twin turbo small block. Dyno pegged it at over 800hp. His comment: "It's like having a 12 inch penis. Real impressive but not much you can do with it." That one got me...
You can buy Tubi exhaust tips with valves for your tubi exhaust, so it will only be load when you floor it and the engine spins at 4k rpm or above. http://www.bestexhaust.com.au/store/tubi-style-ferrari-modena-tips-with-valves-p-2396.html They plug into the OEM vacuum tubes for operation.
I agree completely with the OP, for what it’s worth. I’ve had a 360 Spider 6MT and currently drive a 430 6MT. I think the 360 is a cleaner design, particularly the rear end and it has more than enough horses under the bonnet for typical road use enjoyment . The 430, in my opinion, would only realistically outperform the 360 on a track and in the hands of a driver more expert than most. That doesn’t include me! I made the change out of curiosity and to avoid cam belt concerns. Both cars are terrific.
