Saw the 600LT at Goodwood and bought one. Checks the looks, lightweight, price and sound boxes.
It could be a while. As in YEARS. They haven't even announced a 720S Spider yet. Then LT coupe. Then LT Spider
I got a few pics from McLaren's events but I guess my subscription here expired a long time ago so I can't post pics. The spec was pretty bland anyway https://i.imgur.com/1i3ua9k.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hYNM32J.jpg https://i.imgur.com/VM5cRb7.jpg https://i.imgur.com/aMvjFiW.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wTrmw1T.jpg https://i.imgur.com/s9irxTD.jpg
I’m 6’4”. Did an extended test drive of the Perf. While Made it work, long drives it just was a compromise. I have relegated to the fact I can’t be a Lambo owner. Just not enough space for us bigger guys.
Specced it like the one I saw and loved at Goodwood. I may have done more orange alcantara than that car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Test drove on Tuesday. Reminded me of my favorite twisties car, the 2011 Porsche GT3RS sans three pedals. It gives you a ton of comfort heading into apexes, has a pleasing amount of powerful torque exiting turns, and grumbles and pops like the 675LT.
i used to say that.....until i got enamored with the marque and started making an effort to figure it out. HOWEVER, that is an issue they need to think about. a confusing product line does not allow people to dream about owning one long enough, and then they are yesterday's car and past its sell by date. mclaren needs to be careful.
Keep in mind that unless you know Ferrari's and/or a car person you dont know the difference between a 458 or 488, 360 or 430. It is all relative. I got the same question from everyone with each Ferrari. "What year is it?" No one even knew which model to ask about. With that, I will agree there is similarity between certain models with Mclaren and if you dont know the cars you will have no idea what you are looking at. At the very least McLaren has been smarter about flipping through models so quickly. The 570 was introduced in 2015 as a 16' model and still has a couple years to go. 720 came out in 2018 and it took about 2 years to get a spider and and another 2 years after that to get the LT and then another 2 years for the replacement.
true enough. non-car people rarely know what they are seeing. am educating myself on the mac now and like what i see. thinking about exiting the 430 and going into a 12c (provided i can find one that has the right history), as a way to dip my toe. thereafter, if i do have a liquidity event i will get a 720s (well, maybe after i buy back my 360cs )
Mclaren has essentially 2 models- 570 and 720. Not counting the Uber limited hypercar versions. I think they have done a pretty good job of maintaining a separation with the products.
This one listed at $320K, lots of carbon and the Senna seats Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
