Honestly, I would expect a number of $57,000 from a wholesaler. You can get a bunch to call you by entering the cars info in autotrader.com instant cash offer.

Great color - market on 360's always has some lag unless there is a gated shifter.

Agree. It's easily $55K - $60K wholesale so private party buyers should jump on yours.

I've thought of doing that just to see what i could get and Ferrari is not on the list of cars to pick from nor will it recognize my plate or VIN number. Way around this? I figured they just dont make offers and vehicles of this type.

You're only 20 min. away from CarMax. Take your 360 there and they'll give you a cash offer. Let's say it's even on the very low wholesale side ($40K or $50K) then you have an absolute bottom line cash price if you were to have a fire sale.

With that legit cash offer in hand, you can ask private party buyers to give you $57K for it. Now, if CarMax offers you $55K then like others have stated, you need to consider pricing yours $65K for a private party sale.

Let us know how it goes...

Could you please post photos of entire rear of car as well as engine (with rear hatch down and up possibly)? You might post some better photos, even of the wear on the doors/sticky parts just to give potential buyers an idea. Thanks and GLWS!

Just to clarify. Carmax does bank drafts. Pays out after 5 days once deposited.

Carmax is the worst. I can almost guarantee an offer of $25,000 from them. I’m sure you’ve seen the YouTube videos where they take exotics there and laugh at their offers. I’ve personally took a year old corvette Z06 to them back in the day and they offered me $21,000 on a car with 11,000 miles and a sticker of $57,000 ( in 2004) they also went as far to say it had frame damage! Lol! I bought the car new and it lived in the garage and never got in the rain, so yea.... they were way off and very wrong. On top of it I felt the offer was insulting. Not even where I can understand that they need to offer a wholesale price to make money. More in the range of hey, let’s try and see if he’ll let us steal this car.

2000 F-cars don't appear to be on KBB DropDown List. Any thoughts?

Hate to say it but there are already better deals out there. Get a quote from Carmax or a Ferrari dealer nearby to see what they offer. They will go by black book/auction prices. Then go from there.

I guess KBB can’t give an offer then. Maybe you could email them but they will do exactly what autotraders instant cash offer would do and that is send out your cars information to near by wholesalers ready to buy. They will then contact you with an offer and you will most likely have many offers (wholesale) to choose from. I’d be very surprised if there wasn’t a few offers for $57,000. First they’ll send you an email with an offer but it usually ends up being a little lower. There was one occasion where I had an M3 and I got $2,500 more than the written offer after they saw how mint it was.

You just have to be patient. Dealers have the upper hand over private parties. They can finance anyone, any car and take a trade. Though you pay for the convenience. Seems less people are selling on their own. With the internet I would think the opposite. I know I'd rather go to the dentist than deal with a dealer.

Good Luck, it is a sharp car in that Blue.

What a beautiful example for a great price. The miles wouldn’t bother me given the maintenance history. Someone is getting a great deal on a great car!
