Just wondering among the lurker community what their favorite first (and maybe permanent) Ferrari would be. Also, please put current age in replies too as it will be interesting to see if the 308 crowd would still include younger folks, or will cars like the 458 and 488 win.
    Thanks.

I desire the production cars from when I was coming of age, the cars that made ME fall in love with the marque. The new ones are masterful pieces of engineering, but to me they aren't as special as the late 90's, 2000-era cars. Many would disagree with me, but we are generally most emotional about the cars connected to our youth.

you hit the nail on the head, I've always thought as much that when guys our age are 60-70 the cars fetching monster dollars today the 1940-70 cars will not be so in demand, we shall see. I love my 575, its been fun, but im limited on space living in a condo so it might be finding a new home soon, awesome car, childhood dream checked off the bucket list.

Bought at 33 a manual 360 Modena. (and crashed it a half year later, due to an unexpected slippery road)

    Now I am 34 and I bought a 612 last May. Fabulous!

    First was 430 Spider
    Now have 16M
Close to getting S or SA

If I were a first buyer again I think Scud is great value in today’s market

The first Ferrari to catch my eye when I was nine years old was the 330 GTS. I will forever consider that model in Rosso Corsa with tan leather, gated shifter and Borrani wire wheels to be the quintessence of the marque. The Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder also shares my Dream Road with the 330. Of the more modern Ferraris, I think the one I would most love to own would be one of the exceedingly rare three-pedal 599 Fioranos. It is a simply gorgeous Grand Touring machine. Of course, being a man of modest means precludes my owning any of the aforementioned cars. What I do have is a 2006 F430 Coupe, which is what I could reasonably afford and which I truly enjoy on the back roads of my native country, Texas. The only change I would make to it would be to replace the F1 system with a proper gated shifter and clutch pedal.

Cheese-grater has always been my favorite. Had my senior photos taken with a 360 (Thanks Ferrari of San Antonio). I think the 575 would be a wonderful GT car.

The newer stuff I’m not really a fan of the design language (458 excepted) and the older stuff I never formed a connection with.

F50 would be number one for halo, though I wouldn’t turn down an F40. Enzo and newer just isn’t my jam.

It would be a 612 for me (age 46). I like that it doesn't shout "Ferrari" to onlookers like the 2-seaters, that the whole family can fit in, etc.

I always liked the 456 with the manual of course. It always seems overshadowed by the 550. But that would be my main driver if I had the means. Of course have to have a 308GTS, and to round out the collection a 288GTO.
