    Renault deficit more than 40hp says Verstappen

    Max Verstappen has hit out at the performance of his Renault engines.

    Playing down his hopes at Spa Francorchamps, the Dutchman says he does not have enough power for the Belgian circuit's long straights.

    "30, 40 horse power?" he told RTL when asked what the deficit is. "No, it's much, much, much more, and it doesn't work like that."

    Red Bull official Dr Helmut Marko declared this week that, apart from the Renault-bound Daniel Ricciardo, the team lost faith in Renault after years of promise.

    "They never got the engine under control," he told Servus TV. "The promise of being competitive never materialised.

    "They are not at Mercedes or Ferrari's performance level, but also in terms of reliability.

    "With Honda, we will have a partner who is fully committed, has the human and technical resources, and sees us as the number 1 team.

    "At Renault we were just the customer. We were treated fairly, but their own team always had priority. That's why we accepted the alternative with pleasure," Marko added.

    "It is believed the Stroll consortium owns all of the equipment and the F1 cars, but not the official Force India team entry.

    That could prevent the team from racing this weekend.

    What the Stroll group has is the assets, including the cars," read a media report by Brazil's Globo. "It does not have the company, Force India Limited, which has the F1 team entry."

    For Force India to race this weekend, the FIA would have to grant the team an all-new team entry. But that would mean the team is not entitled to official F1 prize-money, which endangers the viability of the rescue deal.

    "The FIA is investigating the legal issues and will make an announcement shortly," Globo added.

    What the hell is Turn 4? This is a proper circuit and the corners all have names. Historic names that mean something. When was it decided to only use numbers? Pathetic.

    There's is somebody leaving at the end of the season who has no place to go because of "hitting out" too loud/too often.

    T4 is Eau Rouge(bottom).....the top of T4 into T5 is Raidillon....then down the Kemmel Straight. Thats how they should have explained it for those that know the names of the turns.

    Well interestingly different circuit maps show different numbers so Google thinks Eau Rouge is Turn 3, Raidillon Turn 4 and Les Combes Turn 5. Wikipedia has Raidillon as Turn 5, Les Combes Turn 7 etc.! Anyway, I have sat in the grandstand at Raidillon (Turn 4 or is Turn 5) and got wet; spun off at Pouhon (Turn 10 or maybe Turn 12) and got fat (fatter) eating Belgian frites on various visits to Spa.

    FWIW, I guess the T4 sensor must actually be at Raidillon because that's the bit the drivers cut so the FIA turn numbers must match Google rather than Wikipedia.
