    Hi,

Looking to transport the 355 from PA to NY. Around 150 miles. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

DO NOT use 64 motor cars or USA auto movers, I learned that lesson the hard way.

I don't have experience with any others so I can't help you there.

I use a gentleman by the name of Peter, @ 203-550-2716

He takes his truck with a single enclosed carrier. Does most of my local transport, and is top notch. Never had an issue to date.

He brokers out deal too though if it's open carrier, so make sure to request him personally for enclosed pickup if you do.

If you have a truck, rent a trailer from u-haul. That is what I did...

I have a truck but am afraid of navigating NYC streets with a trailer. Never trailered anything before. Car will go to Astoria.

I paid $500 to move a 355 from Chicago to my house about 150 miles, I couldn't go get it myself or I would have.

It was a non runner, open semi car carrier, I think I could have gotten it cheaper but it got here just fine.

150 miles is not far. Look on craigslist and call the guys with a flatbed advertising towing services. Regular tow guys will probably do that distance no problem.

    What NYC streets like Manhatten?

If I'd never pulled a trailer before that wouldn't be where I want to learn.

I have pulled a 32 foot goose neck over the George Washington bridge and then around long Island, That sucked.

Honestly you just need practice pulling a trailer around. Plus if you never pulled one you would love backing a trailer up to a specific spot.

I'd love to drive it except for the stupid "Check Engine" light. I need to bring it to my trusted mechanic and friend.
The car will have to come up 95, across George Washington and RFK bridges into Astoria Queens. The last little bit is the trickiest.

Towing is not that big of a deal...just go slow and tie it down well.

I don't think that's an option, otherwise he wouldn't have started this thread

Why not post on U Ship ?? I have used them twice (not for my 355 but for jetskis). Anyhow, you can set the price you want to pay or have Transporters bid on your haul.

Other than that I have used Intercity several times for long haul. They have semi’s running routes to most cities all the time

I do have AAA and am covered up to 200 miles. Just not sure if I trust them to transport the F car. Has anyone had experience?

Have you determined what the CEL code is? Lots of codes which are not terminal or are simple enough that the car would survive the drive.
