An Opus is not on my shopping list but I would have been very tempted by one that had belonged to a Ferrari F1 World Champion!

Congratulations! Jody Scheckter's Opus and a red leather Making A Difference within just a few weeks. What will be next?

Depends where you will be and when. Happy to help.
Also, hopefully you also have a copy of my third Ferrari book "Ferrari by Vignale", published by Giorgio Nada Editors of Vimodrone/Milan back in 1993.

I have the full Ferrari collection of Automoblia books on single models (plus quite a few they did on other marques).
They are quite informative, some becoming quite rare and expensive.
They rely heavily on Ferrari owners manuals and other Ferrari literature but the photos and test drive reviews are good.

Right. There are a lot Pininfarina studio photos. But, they are very nicely done.

I did notice that the 275GTB/GTS book brings astronomical money on ebay and Amazon.

I think off the top of my head the California Spyder and 412 versions are the most expensive single model books currently.

    Congrats on the Opus purchase!
BTW, The only Ferrarissima books edited in Schedoni leather were the #15 and #16 of the "New Series".
(100 copies of the #15, and 75 copies of the #16... unfindable these days, but I got some.)

Here is the table of contents. Important to note that it covers road-car engines only, and that it's NOT one of their "Owners' Workshop Manuals". Amazon shows release, in both the U.S. and U.K., on October 9th.

The Cartier Edition, of 'Piloti Che Gente' is especially nice, it has more content, I think than the "normal" first thru fifth printings of the title.

I bought mine, with a fountain pen and a watch!

Just a heads up, on a nice find, at Half Price Books:

David Bull Publishing issue of Jesse Alexander photos,
    "Inside the Archives"

Available at $14.99 (published at $75USD)

    Also from David Bull:
Slipcased Edition of "Shelby Cars in Detail" what an awesome work, for $29.95.

I hate to see it, but I carried them out, at that price.
I am assuming you could locate stock and phone order these titles, if interested....

What are your thoughts seeing it in the metal?
Is it worth the money they are asking for? Maybe not for the very limited ART with stand version but for the standard XXL version?

As there were lots of people there yesterday, I was unable to really look into the contents of the book. However, as a show piece, I think it looks very good in the flesh (even the standard version). Given that it is limited edition and endorsed by Ferrari, I think it would at least keep its value in years to come, so I think it is worth it.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking of making the investment but haven't pulled the trigger just yet. I have the Opus, don't know whether I need both.

I am not sure if the value would go up rapidly in the near future. I think a few pages back someone rightly said that many of the owners of the 1000+ books will probably never open it and keep it in mint condition. However, I do not expect seeing them on Ebay a few years down the road for half their original value either. So like I said, it will likely at least maintain its value for many years to come. I am thinking about it too :D.

FWIW, I think it would look awesome next to the Opus!
