My drivers carpet (not mats) is not held down and is sliding forward as one would expect. When I lift it there are two fixings attached to the carpet with rivets showing along with 2 holes in the floor. It looks like they have pulled out. Carpets were renewed for a previous owner by a "trimmers" obviously not well. Questions are
    1. Did Ferrari use studs to affix floor carpets.
    2. How are they removed (pull?)
    3. How should the studs be attached to floor?
I am trying to use the original factory method so trying to find that out. Thanks All.

Maybe, Top surface of carpet is like a carpet button cover. No idea how to release. I gather they are very non standard?

Believe it's an '81 308? Not sure what was done then, but on my '85 QV the carpets are only attached with a velcro strip back where they tuck under the seats. Yes, they move around a bit, but as long as you don't yank the velcro apart it's fine.

Nothing like that on my '78 when I did it. Existing carpet, which I know was not factory, was glued down. I did the same with new carpet. No idea how you'd get the carpet itself to stay down with only two points holding it.

It's a 308 GTB built 1980. I only picked it up about 3 weeks ago and the drivers side carpet was wet after driving it home. I suspect two holes drilled in the floor just in front of the seat is non standard as are the fasteners.
