http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24876/lot/368/ This F1 575 recently sold at bonhams for $92,000 last week and it had 63,000 miles. Id imagine a 550 Maranello would have a hefty premium over the 575 F1 so why not send it to bonhams? Click the link above. Impressive such a high miles car got so much, I see other 575 maranellos on eBay struggling to get a little more asking low 100s
I looked at a nice, but by no means perfect, 550 at a dealer in March and it was just over 100 asking price. 36,000 miles. Make of that what you will. It wasn't red though.
I have a rosso 550. It looks awesome with the barchetta wheels but grabs too much attention for my place in life. The 550 is a GT car for a sophisticated Ferrari owner. The Rosso is OK but if I ever do it over again its Titanio for me. That dark titanium color is all business gushing with class.
Bonhams sold a 550 the same day for GBP 93,000 http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24876/lot/385/?category=results&length=90&page=2 However, these are RHD drive cars and the market for those is simply different. Personally I think the buyers got carried away on a hot day with a bit too much to drink. They paid dealer retail for a car at an auction, that doesn't make sense to me.
I drove the 911 Targa GTS for review earlier this year and slightly to my surprise, I really liked it. It has a lot more character and interest than most 911s of the last few years. Very fast, but also involving and fun, rather than just clinical. Great car. Would I sell my 550 for one..hmmm. Apart from the depreciation question (911 loses) and the convenience factor (550 loses), the 550 has soul. (And 12 cylinders, but that's not the only component). But, the 911 is a better daily driver, 80% of the time. But it's also a tricky time to sell a Maranello if you want a good price. Buyers are thin.
Hi Anders!! Can you explain the whole exhaust system? Would be interesting to hear what set-up you have there. I also want 275 sound in mine! Image Unavailable, Please Login
What has been done is "only" to build an extra pair of the last mufflers (i.e.the big boxy and heavy ones). The new pair is empty on inside and the two double pipes replaced by two large single pipes.
I have a similar spec 550 (FHP, Luggage, Silver Brakes, 2000) but no shields and TdF over Tan interior. Not for sale though. But I talked to a dealer who just sold a black/black 550 i decent condition but not perfect. Asking price was close to 105' USD but got a bit less. Your car seems to be a lot nicer but you need to find the right buyer and that can take some time... Where in Sweden are you located? PM if you like.
My guess is 65-70k euros is realistic price and it takes time to get it. Dealer pricing for similar car is obviously higher as warranty can be very valuable if something goes wrong.
Hi Anders .....i am new to this forum and am interested on getting an 550 if you have a contact or an email that we can get in touch that will be great.
