I have owned this car since 2005 !!

In January 2012 I changed clutch and my mechanic back (Mechanic 1) then told me he inspected the "main engine bearing" as a routine check. (I am guessing he removed the flywheel to do this)

In October 2017 I changed clutch again, but this time with a new mechanic (Mechanic 2) , who insists he did not touch those bolts.
I even have a picture of October 2017 when the clutch was replaced. See below attachment.

So, could (Mechanic 1) in 2012 (who I did not like or trust very much) have messed up ??? Did it take 6 years for the fatigue to break those bolts ?? Weird !!

The good news is that I also did belt change and just too delivery of my car !! Everything fine !!!

10 to 1 Mechanic 1 did it with his lazy impact wrench and ruined the bolts....

Never seen that kind of damage before - thanks' for sharing.

Impact gun seems like a possible explanation.

I would say left loose is the more likely cause..

I've never heard or seen anything like that. Definitely avoided severe damage
